Piccadilly Circus is often voted as one of the world's most overrated attractions. It's crowded with tourists, shuffling past tourist shops selling the same tourist tat. Save your time.

Many places to eat around, lots of history and a good tourist location!!
The big screens are a great background for a picture!

This is the Times Square of London. Lots of shopping, restaurants, pubs and street performers. Visiting around Christmas time is a plus with all the Christmas lights down the streets. I would say it’s an must see while roaming the streets of London.

It's very central and big. I like to look at the billboards especially at night. Walking distance from Soho and all the main places. I love the street artists that perform there and also the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a great atmosphere.

If you want to walk around and feel like shopping in a major metro area similiar to Times Square than this is it. But it is very busy with lots of people and moving cars. The pictures are cool, but otherwise, if you only want pictures, I would grab them from a tour bus. Still, its pretty neat to see in London.

This a junction of 5 roads, in the city of Westminster. Built almost 200 years ago. Several shops and restaurants nearby. Electronic Screens playing advertisements
UK version of Times Square. Always busy with a lot of tourists. Live performances

Walk around the place or just sit and see the things happening

Decided to talk a little walk to Piccadilly Circus on a recent visit to the Palace Theater to see Harry Potter. In my head it was the Times Square of London, but it seems I was mistaken. The famous lightup ad board was much smaller than I imagined (I was standing right under it and almost missed it). Granted everything is smaller in England but this square was hardly even worth mentioning. It is much smaller than Trafalgar square and if I had gone out of my way to see it I would have been even more disappointed. Perhaps some of the shops are worthwhile, but we only went into one souvenir shop and it was nothing special. We sat and ate lunch on the center fountain then moved on, and enjoyed walking through the theater district and Trafalgar square much more.

It’s full of tourists and lots of shops but it’s a pretty soulless place unless you want your picture taken. A very high chance of being run over at a crossing where cars ignore the lights. To be honest unless you want a picture of Eros it’s well worth missing. Nearby is Chinatown and that’s pretty good.

popped into five guys to see what the fuss was all about. very busy restaurant however the service was quick and staff friendly. ordered 2 cheeseburgers, 1 regular fries and 2 milkshakes. the food was great, milkshakes were lush and the fries nice and crispy. burgers were quite filling - made to order. the bill was a little hefty @ almost £30 for 2 ppl but as a one -off treat in Piccadilly circus, not too bad.
