This Five star hotel is located in the theatre district and walking distance to the famous covent gardens. One Aldwych Hotel has magnificent hotel rooms from executive to luxury suites that can accomodate six or more. The rooms are impeccable crisp clean blankets spotless floors wi-fi flat t.v. screens access to an incredible gym with trainers. The olympic size heated swimming pool is complete with music under water.
The lobby is tastefully decorated with a seemingly papier mache dog giant flower vases a comfortable lounge and full bar. A restaurant that changes it's menu frequently with the most delectable dishes. My executive room came complete with a king size bed two comfortable sofa chairs magazine table, shoe shine daily service a newspaper and fresh flowers daily . For around $400. dollars a day it was a real buy.
This is all within walking distance to Big Ben the giant clock , westminster road London eye, which is across from river thames. Within blocks from the covent gardens where the famous Royal Ballet is located book your tickets early for a tour and stories of this fantastic ballet and you might want to book tickets for the ballet. Enjoy

From the astounding lobby to the state of the art pool and gym everything about this place is beautifully thought out. Staff are amazingly helpful and the concierge has, over the course of many stay, managed last minute "unobtainable"restaurant reservations.
The rooms are small but well thought out and very comfortable. Only one complaint - the lobby bar can get very crowded and noisy early evening.

Room Tip: go for the best you can afford - suites are wonderful but expensive

Very positive opinion!

Quite good service from the concierge up to the swimming pool, well-designed and comfortable originally.
The location is also great- near Covent Garden and the West End.
Rooms are quite small and is not cheap. ...and, if the window is open - a bit noisy...but clean and comfortable.
The English Breakfast is very original and VERY tasty!

Stayed for the first time at One Aldwych for 3 days over Easter 2013 and cant fault it!

Very comfortable rooms, lovely, friendly welcome upon arrival and all staff were helpful and attentive.

Added bonuses are pool and nice bar for a nightcap. We didn't eat at the hotel as we had a full schedule of sightseeing etc but did make breakfast on one morning and had room service both of which were great.

The location is also brilliant with Covent Garden just around the corner and a tube a few minutes walk away.

No complaints at all and definitely would return!

Room Tip: Try Simpsons on the Strand for a meal - really lovely

We are in the middle of our week's holiday and I must share this pleasant hotel with others. At seven months pregnant I brought my two young daughters on a last minute trip to London from Los Angeles. I only picked the hotel because of their pool and location, wanting to ease travel discomfort since my husband could not join us. Now my daughters don't want to leave. The service has been flawless, the room comfortable, housekeeping the best, and the food reliably good. But most helpful has been the concierge team who in only one day's lead time have secured us top show tickets and afternoon tea reservations

We travel every five weeks and only at five star hotels and villas. My children are seasoned travelers and hard to impress, but they've already requested that I book another stay here. My six year old says the bed gives her delicious sleep. What more can I add?

This is the first stay for us and unlike other hotels we have history with that reward us generously for repeat visits, we are strangers to One Aldwych. However, the hotel has been nothing but welcoming and accommodating. And the pool is a great way to end the long sight seeing days for my daughters. I never write reviews, but had to let other mothers know how special this place is.

Check in
The worst experience at the hotel. We were welcomed by a nice lady, who couldn't find our reservation. After consulting the office, the reservation was found but we were told the fare didn't include taxes. Luckily i kept the correspondence with th hotel( booked directly). The lady admitted that taxes are inclusive, yet it was certainly not a good start.
Room
We reserved an executive and hoped for a much bigger one. Although not spacious, the room was beautiful, great beds, lovely warderobe, fresh flowers changed daily.
Bathroom was very spacious with an outside window which lets natural light. Tub was very uncomfortable to use. Luckily there was a separate shower which was fine.
Nice toileteries, beautiful orchid.
We missed tea and coffee facilities. The room was quiet even when opening the window.
Wi fi was free and worked very well.
Staff was extremely nice and friendly.
The hotel is in a great location, near theatres and restaurants.
On the whole, an enojoyable boutique hotel near Covent Garden,

Stayed at One Aldwych for Easter.

Everything 5 star, the rooms, the lobby bar,the gym and swimming pool, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough.

The hotel has two restaurants we went to Indigo which is on the mezzanine level overlooking the bar which serves great food and the chairs are like arm chairs.

The swimming pool is very relaxing as it has underwater music and videos of dolphins and turtles projected on the wall as you swim.

Have stayed here a few times and will definitely return. By far the best hotel I've stayed at in London.
