This Boutique Hotel is the way to go in London. Service is impeccable. Location is ideal, one block from underground and Harrods. High end shops are all around, ladies Ferragamo, armani, etc. are one block away. This Knightsbridge area is not busy like other hotel areas. Quiet street yet lively surroundings. Hotel restaurant is fantastic for any meal. Bar is quaint. Every single employee at this hotel was super friendly. Room was very big, bathroom not that big but very nice marble with ammenities. The heated towel rack was a pleasant surprise but in my room hot pipe was too close to toilet (i.e., be careful or hang a towel there). No gym at the hotel but nearby.

Thank you so much, we are so pleased you liked the hotel, our location is so spoiling! The shopping in this area is truly fantastic; everything is so tempting when it is so close by! I am delighted that you felt well looked after by the team and we all hope to be welcoming you back on your next visit to London.

Kind regards,

Once you realize you won’t find a hotel in London that is in a great location, has large rooms, is beautiful and offers a reasonable value, you will find peace in London, which we did at the Capital Hotel. Location is fantastic, and the hotel oozes charm. Walk in and you will be greeted with smiles from front desk/concierge/bellmen/doormen all of whom know you by the end of your first day. The hotel is beautiful and the restaurant is high end London Classic. The concierges are very, very helpful (thanks Graham!) And of course having Harrods down the street, having the Tube around the corner, and being a stone’s throw from Hyde Park is hard to beat for location. There were a few disappointments, however. The rooms were terribly small, as we knew. However, while our request for connecting rooms was satisfied, we were not told that the view from such rooms was to the rear, an alley with a view of the rubbish cans. We should have been told to expect that; we might have changed our reservation. Also, the hotel is woefully behind the times in terms of accommodating a modern, wired traveler. Outlets were few and far between and considering how beautiful these rooms are, a little modern upgrade is badly needed.

Room Tip: Be sure to request a room facing the front!

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. We are so glad everybody in the Hotel made you feel comfortable and Graham was thrilled to get a special mention! I am very lucky to work with such an excellent team throughout the hotel. We are addressing your feedback in regards to the electrical points as we know that guests do need them more and more when travelling these days. When we refurbish rooms we are adding additional sockets for more convenience.
I hope that we will be welcoming you back to the Capital one day soon.
Kind regards.

The rooms were beautiful, staff friendly and they served a delicious breakfast. You also couldn't beat the location just steps from Harrod's and the tube.

It was a pleasure to stay 2 nights at The Capital Hotel.

All the staff provided outstanding service - thanks to the delightful gentleman who opened the door for us and greeted me by name each time, thanks to the concierge who pleasantly answered my questions and made recommendations, and thanks to the cheerful gentleman who took our breakfast orders in the morning. All the staff made our stay most enjoyable.

Great breakfast. Great afternoon tea. Attentive service. Clean room with crisp linen. Great location and a good nights rest.

We went to the capital a little concerned after the last review of the afternoon tea. My experience could not be any more different, it was fantastic from start to finish. The staff were incredibly attentive, we were offered more of everything and even thou the room was small it was perfectly formed. I have visited many big name places for tea and this rates as one of the best in London add in it is nearly half the price for a comparable experience, so is also a bargain! Highly recommend.

I recently stayed at the capital for two different nights having booked a single room. The first night I was upgraded to a Double queen room which was just excellent. Appropriate size of the room considering you are next door to Harrods and in the heart of Knightsbridge. Amenities smell AMAZING so I couldn't avoid to take what was left with me!

Decoration is traditional English but you have a new feel of it (the room smelled of new!) not the traditional, old and smelly if you know what I mean...

The other night I stayed in the single room I had booked and being travelling for work I did miss a working desk to work on. However still a correct size of room and overall quality. I do suggest to pay a little more and stay in a double.

Breakfast is good having a small buffet of cereals and they bring you a basket of bread, toasts and pastries to the table being able to extend with a choice of eggs / bacon.. etc etc.

Staff was excellent from beginning to end. Responsive, attentive and personalized (being adressed by my name each time by the concierge really made the difference). I can specially thank Lorena who took care of my reservation and greeted me upon check-in. She was EXCELLENT from beginning to end with an unbeatable attitude to service delivery.

Location is nearly wall to wall to Harrods but has the extra benefit of being in a very quiet street, so at nighttime you can have a walk around and enjoy the quiet as well.

Being myself a Hotelier I can strongly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a boutique-type hotel with excellent service in the heart of Knightsbridge. Will definitely be back! THANK YOU!

Feedback from a fellow Hotelier is always wonderful to have! Thank you so much for your kind words about the hotel. We are very pleased with our new Queen Double Rooms and it is lovely to hear that guests are enjoying staying them. We are looking forward to converting the rest of our single rooms as soon as possible! Lorena was particularly delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay.

We hope to be welcoming you again soon.
Kind regards.
