Owner description: Ranked as one of London's greatest landmarks, this 185-foot high monument (circa 1843) looks down on the busy streets, fountains and swirling traffic of Trafalgar Square.

Nelson's Column Towers 185 ft. above Trafalgar Square, and is a very impressive monument. The monument was erected to honor one of the greatest British Naval commanders in history. A great venue for shutterbugs.

A place you must visit on any first trip to the Capital. The fountains, the Column itself and the Lions in all their glory. Remember to bring your camera.

If you are a history enthusiast, check it out, but if you are planning a sight seeing trip around London and you're on a tight schedule, you won't be missing out if you don't go and see it.

It's a pillar with a statue of one of the greatest British Naval commanders in history. And that's about it. A piece of trivia is that as Nelson looks down Pall Mall, the lamp posts all have ships on their tops, so Nelson is actually surveying his fleet.

Great history and a place where freedom of speech has always come first. It represents many different peoples in terms of a place to accumulate and have speeches. For visting as a tourist it is worth while and has some good buildings and other good places to see surrounding it.
