“Fabulous and Perfect!”
Reviewed August 31, 2010

We spent three nights here and it was wonderful. We have stayed at several London Hotels and this one beats them all for the perfect stay.

It is beautiful and very comfortable and the afternoon tea is terrific with an honor bar in the evening. In the evening they also have complimentary hot chocolate and baked cookies. It is difficult to find such a great location and such a great staff that really cares about you. They were top notch and the rooms are beautiful and very quiet.

Having stayed in a few other similar hotel’s I have found the ONE. Absolutely discreet, lovely staff with just the right amount of guest interaction. They read their guest (certainly me) so well. Knowing when to approach and when not too.

Breakfast was a served in a small quaint room with floor to sealing mirrors that seats approximately ten people. It made it very personal, some hotels have these huge dining spaces and as single traveller it is nice to have other guests close by even if you enjoy privacy and your own space.

I also did no expect the upgrade as a first time guest. The simple explanation was we had it available.

I was aware of the complimentary tea, champagne and hot chocolate because I was very particular at booking stage to know what the rate includes. It was just lovely so lovely to go and explore during the day to return at night for a homely meal prepared.

The only thing I wished for is that my visit was in winter because the fire place is so inviting.

Thank you Draycott – you will definitely see me again and hopefully soon.

Stayed at the Draycott hotel for 3 nights everyday as good as the last, amazingly located, individually decorated rooms, the service was great especially the concierge staff, every request we made they did their upmost to make us happy. Certainly coming back. For me there's only one hotel in London worth staying in.

The Draycott offers the perfect balance of luxury, service, privacy and location. Tucked discreetly away in a tranquil, tree-lined garden square between Harrods and Kings Road. It is at the very centre of fashionable London and is the epitome of stylish good taste and elegance. We actually left another hotel to come there and we were greeted with hospitality and manners. The room was stunning and the best I have seen for traditional English country decor.

The Town House combines the grandeur of the past with the luxuries and conveniences of today, it has exclusive comforts and ambience of the grand private residence. I love that they put my name on the door!

Our room was splendidly decorated, reflecting the Edwardian period and English country style.

There is the highest standard of 24-hour service with all the essential 5 star amenities.

You can order a traditional afternoon tea to your room and it is served with all the trimmings including china cups and teapots.

Christmas drinks around the Christmas tree in the elegant living room are wonderful and there is a feel of being in someone's home with everything attended to in style.

I can't fault this hotel. 10/10

I just returned home from another trip to London, and once again stayed at the lovely Draycott Hotel just off Sloan Square.

This was my third stay at this hotel and I think it is safe to say that I won’t stay at any other hotel when traveling to London. Nice warm feel, with friendly, helpful staff! It really feels like a home away from home. I don’t normally recommend hotels to friends and colleagues, purely because people tend to have different expectations and experiences, but I have made an exception with the Draycott Hotel. I absolutely LOVE this hotel, and I DO tell everyone about my wonderful stay(s) there!

Do yourself an favor, and book a room there on your next trip to London!

this is not a hotel. Even as a b&b I cannot understand how this gets 5 stars. It has no amenities, is very worn, dated, dusty and kitchy. More than one person has told me it is a dump and I think it is fair to say it has seen better days. Very dusty and musty and if you have any slight allegies, stay away. External renovations were not disclosed and we were choosing between this, soffitel St. James and the Ritz, so very disappointed. During this period and for 7 days, this was the most expensive of the options, but was a special trip and thought this was to be elegant and luxury accomodations so opted for what I thought was the best. due to the external renovations, opening the windows to get relief from dust was a real problem. Also, beware in that they will try to charge a 3 day penalty if you leave early. I travel to london once a month and even in London -- for nearly $600 per night -- you can find hundreds of really top hotels. this was really awful.

also, Tripadvisor really needs to move this to the B&B section -- this is not a hotel.

While the location is wonderful (relatively quiet location just off Sloan Square), the hotel is more of a B&B than a luxury hotel. The rooms are large for London standard but they lack the quality amenities and construction of a 5 star hotel. The windows are very old so if you get a room on the street side, the noise will wake you up at night. The comforters are so thin after so many years of use that I would not consider them to provide any warmth. The bathrooms are adequate but far from luxurious. Breakfast is a bit of a joke as the continental breakfast for 19.95 GBP is not much more than coffee and a dry roll. The hotel does offer free tea and champagne (Billecart-Salmon no less) every afternoon, but I still don't think this compensates for the room rate they charge. As I alluded to earlier, if you love creaky and old B&B's, this is the hotel for you. If you prefer more the style of a luxurious American hotel, this is not your type of hotel.
