Having recently been to London on a 3 day trip we decided to dine at Jumeriah Loundes. We arrived n were very warmly welcomed n shown to our table. When we were just seated a waiter brought a jug of iced water to the table along with the menu. We had a fish starter which was without a doubt the very best starter I ever had you could taste the freshness of the fish and the presentation was excellent. The main course was steak which was so tender and served with a beautiful sauce. The dessert consisted of all different fresh fruits of the season and presentation was so very beautiful n unusual. All round 1st class in every sense of the word. The staff were very friendly and checked with us through each course if all was well. The Hotel in general was absolutely immaculate and was most enjoyable dining experience.

Room Tip: all rooms exceptionally beautiful

I stayed here for several days on vacation. The hotel is clean and comfortable, but the bathrooms aren't great. The shower is particularly small and if you're taller then 5'5, it's going to drive you crazy. The location is quite nice, near public transportation, parks, restaurants and interesting places to walk around.

Only stayed for one night but we were impressed with the quality standards that are consistent across the Jumeirah group. This is a small hotel but nicely located in Belgravia village which is quiet, classy and very refined. Staff were very welcoming, efficient and unobtrusive. The rooms are not huge but they are a masterpiece of design with everything you could want from a top class hotel dovetailed into a small space.

We had one big gripe - the mattress - bloody uncomfortable! We took a look below the sheets and found it to be a cheap mattress that you would probably buy for a spare room at home - not something you'd want to sleep on in a 5* hotel. The total lack of lumbar support was thinly disguised by a kind of duvet strapped to the mattress. At nearly £400 a night we didn't expect backache from a £200 worn out mattress - are times really that tough that investment in a good mattress is being overlooked?

The previous two nights we had been staying in two 4* Radisson Edwardian Hotels in London and experienced mattresses that were unbelievably comfortable - so much so that we have contacted Radisson and decided to buy one from the manufacturer. Perhaps the Jumeirah should follow our lead and buy a few for this hotel!!

Thank you very much for your review and I am gald that you enjoyed your stay with us - with one exception. There are few things more important in a hotel than a comfortable night's sleep and I am really sorry that you did not have this. I have no clear explanation for this as I can assure that all our mattresses are of a high quality and generate many positive comments. We do use "toppers" in conjunction with our mattresses and maybe this was part of the problem, but in the end you did not sleep well and that is of great concern. I believe that you have utilised our Jumeirah feedback process as well and will contact you through this channel. Ian Richardson

I just stayed here with my wife. Excellent location. Staff are very friendly. Hotel is very clean. The restaurant is good but breakfast is pricey. If you need a full english to start the day, try Patisserie Valerie around the corner on Motcomb st for half the hotel price. There is a middle eastern menu to accompany the main menu. Nespresso machine in the bedroom is a nice touch. However you will get a £10 discretionary fee per night for robes/slippers/bed matts/water/ice being laid out for you when you return to your room. Still - I will return.

I had eaten in the restaurant at The Lowndes several years ago, and decided to repeat the experience, this time with an overnight stay in London.

You simply cant beat the location of this hotel, a short stroll away from Harrods & Harvey Nichols, situated in Belgravia village which is so stunning, leafy and quiet.

The staff here are just fabulous, and want to serve in any way they can, the front desk team are especially magnificent and so charming.

The room was a perfect size and the beds, oh my word, the beds, total heaven. As I mentioned the food here is divine, as was breakfast which kept me going until supper.

This hotel is such a find, I cant wait to return.

Room Tip: Front facing into the square if you can

We recently stayed in this property for one night. The hotel, room, location, and service were all outstanding, and we felt that we received good value for money until the "Breakfast Incident". We ventured into the restaurant in the morning intending to have a nice English Breakfast. After glancing at the menu, we noticed that the price for breakfast was equivalent to $45 U.S dollars per person, which we felt was excessive, even considering London prices. We opted to skip breakfast and just have the cup of coffee that we had already been served. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he became very rude, and muttered that coffee was only offered as part of The Continental Breakfast, and we would have to pay the equivalent of 29 US dollars per coffee. We instantly got up and asked for our check. He replied that he put it on our room. We planned on bringing it up when we checked out, but I guess he thought the better of it, and charged us 12 US dollars for the 2 coffees. Unfortunately, this experience, took away from our previous great impression of the hotel.

I am pleased to read that you enjoyed a night at Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel and you felt that you received good value for the money - up until the “breakfast incident”. Whilst our breakfasts are priced competitively with other local hotels, I appreciate that this may have been more than you wanted to pay, and sincerely apologise for the clumsy way in which your situation was handled. This was obviously below our normal standards and I really appreciate you taking the time to let us know your views. I do hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel and thank you again for your review. Ian Richardson
