What a great gift!

The day was sunny and warmish, the tour was informative, entertaining and funny thanks to our inspirational actor guide who really knew his Shakespeare, the museum was extremely interesting and finally to top the whole thing off we enjoyed a super afternoon overlooking the Thames.

Many thanks to my sister for thinking of it!

Thank Joan M

Really interesting museum, more so about "old" London that the theatre itself, and the tour was well worth the money. We think we were very lucky, as our guide was so informative, funny, and friendly.

The attention to detail in the rebuild of the Globe is remarkable. Our next visit is booked - an afternoon at one of Shakespeare's plays in the summer.

lots to view in the museum before taking the guided tour inside the Globe, so start early. Excellent informative and humerous Guide, with a lot of time spent in the Theatre where photos are able to be taken. A great gift shop to browse through after the tour.

We spent an enjoyable couple of hours here. The museum has some really interesting items and the tour of the theatre was also very entertaining, thanks to our guide. We now know what a 'pennystinker' is - don't ask!! The theatre and museum stands as a testament to Sam Wannamaker's determination to mark the original Globe and it's strong association with Shakespeare. Definitely worth a visit if you have an interest in theatre history and in particular The Bard himself.

Even though this isn't the real Globe, but a 1997 recreation, this is a beautiful place and you can learn a lot from the guides.
TIP: Do use the 2FOR1 offer to lower the price of admission!
