Very impressed with the Anchor! Amazing location on the River Thames, with polite staff, great food, great beers and a good atmosphere. Will definitely return on my next trip.

Good place to have a few beers and eat looking at the river.
Highly recommended while sightseeing. We had a few favorites, English pot pies.
Great stop!

As I'm sat outside this pub at this very moment I will say that I wish I'd kept walking and found somewhere else. The drinks are very over priced, the bar inside and out are sticky and a bit grubby and the toilets are foul! The location right on the river is lovely but that's it's only saving grace - walk on.

Managed to snap up a table on the very busy terrace which was lucky as inside is very dark and depressing. Drinks come in a plastic glass which immediately lowers the class. The food was just average by taste but lots of it. The Big Ben burger is BIG but wasn't tasty. It filled a hole and that was it. The bar was busy and only 1 bar man serving but there was a glass lady in the back stacking glasses which could of helped. Maybe they should train the scivvies into helping with the bar to prevent such ques. Good atmosphere, great views and apparently Tom Cruise had a drink here on the terrace in the film mission impossible.

I stumbled across this pub when out in london, and while it has nice views of the thames and looks very nice...this cant be further from the truth. i recieved awful service in the pub but several different members of staff!! I was spoken to like an idiot and with extreme attitude of a teenager. i would advoid this place if your looking for typical pub grub. what me and my boyfriend ordered was not what we ordered!! Who ever has soup starter alongside their main!! and a rare steak well how about cremeated!! Overall this is an over priced pub which draws on the first impressions of a typical london pub!! 100 metres down the road is the ship which has lovely food, staff and atmosphere!!
