My husband treated me to a long weekend in London for our 1st wedding anniversary and we stayed at the Savoy.
The service, was very impressive.
The dinner was out of this world.
The deco is glamorous.
The view from our room was beautiful at night!
A stop at the bar to try the cocktails is a MUST DO!

What a fantastic weekend!

Booked in for afternoon tea at 4:45. Had to wait to be seated for a bit but that wasn't too bad as it gave me time to freshen up. Once seated service was attentive and prompt. Our waiter Michael delivered the best customer service I've experienced to date!
So impressed with the overall service, I'm definitely booking again!

We visited Ths Savoy for two nights on the Saturday and Sunday before Christmas, so I do apologise for the late review. This was our first visit to The Savoy, although we haved stayed in other 5 star establishments, but this hotel is in a class of its own. When we arrived by taxi, the doorman took our luggage and asked our names and on entering the foyer a gentleman came striding over and greeted us by name, before asking if we would like to be shown around the hotel, which of course we did. He then escorted us to our large Edwardian style deluxe king room and proceeded to check us in, in comfort.
The hotel just exudes luxury and elegance and as it was Christmas was decorated beautifully and with style. All the staff we met anywhere in the hotel and at any time were friendly and polite, without being too familiar. The location of the hotel is excellent with Covent Garden just over the road opposite the entrance to the hotel and with access to the river and the London Eye at the rear of the hotel.
Our room and bathroom were both clean and spacious and had everything we needed. We do like to have tea/coffee facilities in our room, wherever we go, and although not advertised by the hotel these are provided in your room free of charge, if requested. The bed was extremely comfortable, the lights in the wardrobes a great idea and the jukebox on the tv was useful as it enabled us to listen to some great music from the speakers in the bathroom, when relaxing in the bath.
The concierge obtained tickets for Billy Elliot and the seats he sourced were fantastic. The show was great too. After the show we returned to the Beaufort Bar for cocktails and entertainment on the Saturday evening. When we arrived our coats were taken from us and taken straight to our room which was a nice touch. We had to wait a little while in the lounge, for a table to become available, but when it did we had some super cocktails and a lovely end to our evening.
Breakfast was running late so the staff were unable to allocate us a table, but we were shown to the Beaufort Bar/Lounge where tea/coffee etc were provided free of charge for the inconvenience. When a table did become available we were seated in the Thames Foyer rather than in Kaspars, but we were quite happy with this. We had the full works at breakfast and when we ordered the cereal and toast etc. it all came at once so by the time we got to the toast it was cold. If we had asked this would have been rectified I'm sure, but we weren't going to complain about some toast, although next time we stay, which we are planning on doing in a month or so, we will ask for breakfast to be staggered and for some items to be delayed. We both ordered eggs benedict, but on one, both eggs were hard when they arrived. We brought this to the attention of the staff and it was taken away immediately and replaced freshly cooked within no time so this did not delay my partner's breakfast in any way.
We ate in Kaspars restaurant on the Sunday evening and chose from the set menu. The food was excellent for the money, the service very attentive and the wine kept cold and served as and when it was required. We had a wonderful stay and were sad it had to come to an end, but we will be returning soon and we can't wait. Definitely, our hotel of choice when in London.

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for taking the time to review your pre-Christmas Savoy experience. I was pleased to read that you enjoyed The Perfect Arrival, as this our way of making The Savoy feel like a home from home to all our guests. It’s also great to hear that you made the most of the hotel’s amenities and central location. As you have kindly mentioned, tea/coffee facilities are available on request, please do let us know upon making your reservation. Whilst I’m pleased to hear that you enjoyed breakfast in the Thames Foyer, I value your feedback with regards to the timing of certain items, and will share this feedback with the team. It’s a pleasure to hear that The Savoy is now your hotel of choice, and I look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Kind regards,
Kiaran MacDonald

Really enjoyed all aspects of this Hotel. The cocktails in the bar are probably the best in London if not in the World. Great Location too. Will be looking to stay again very shortly. Would highly recommend.
