Gorgeous, gracious, grand park. Wander along with a smile on your face. The architecture of the buildings lining the park are some of London's finest.
There's a good play park for the kids, boats to hire, and an ok cafe (if you order the homemade pizza)

I spent an enjoyable couple of hours relaxing and walking round Regents Park. Sitting and watching the variety of bird life was fascinating, especially watching the herons and heronry. As a very small child, my mother used to take me daily round the outskirts of London Zoo, as we lived nearby at the time.
I remember seeing Love's Labours Lost at the Open Air Theatre in the 1960's and was pleased to see that the theatre is still active.
The park is very clean and well kept, an oasis in the middle of busy streets.

This will be a definite return on our next trip to London; a lovely park with plenty to see and do.
The playpark at Marylebone Green appeared to be undergoing renovation so we walked further round to the playground at Hanover Gate which was a lovely walk past the boating lake.

The weather wasn't great, bitterly cold and began to rain so the Boathouse Cafe was a welcome sight and worth a visit for a scone and a hot chocolate! Great views from the cafe and no doubt would be lovely in the summer months. Would also be a great spot for a picnic!

Regent's Park has a different character to the other large London parks. Like the others, it is large and well kept, perhaps busiest at the south side where access from public transport is easiest. If you are approaching from Baker Street then it is possible to get into the park and have a short walk and still get away from it all, if time is pressing.

If time is not so pressing then exploring the entire park could take several hours.

The Open Air Theatre is well worth visiting and unique in London.
