“Unmissable”

We were strolling down the South Bank one Saturday in summer (during the time of the Olympics) and stopped at a riverside cafe for a drink. We got talking to a couple who told us about the market at Camden and the barge trips from Camden Lock to Little Venice. Suitabley intrigued we went there the next morning.....what can I say? Vibrant, exhilarating, colourful, exciting, alive.....a truly uplifting experience. Whatever your interests, whatever your speciality, it is surely impossible to think that you will not find something here to captivate you.....truly an outstanding few hours.

We also took the barge from the very centre of the market through Regents Park to Little Venice, which is extremely pretty and interesting.

Highly recommended.

“Allsorts”
Reviewed February 5, 2013

Obviously there is the market, lots of it spread across most of the town, but then we have all the street food stall which should cover most peoples tastes. Then there is the lock and canal for sitting by with a beer or a coffee or simple strolling along. Amongst the the main building behind the lock are statues of mainly horses and such like, should keep adults and kids alike looking for the next one.
Judging by the number of people who turn up it seems its just a cool place to be.

“Lovely Sunday event”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

Having time to kill before our fight left on Sunday evening, we got the tube to Camden Market( Northern Line Camden town stop about 15 - 20 min from centre of London). Loved it lots of clothes stalls, quirky items , , music etc and loads great ethnic food stalls all giving free samples as you pass by. We loved the big brass horse statues and the sense of history in the area. We had lunch from one of the many tempting stalls. You could easily spend all day here just browsing. We reluctantly had to leave around 3 and it was really busy then. One word of warning if you are cutting it fine time wise please be aware that often they close the entrance Camden Town tune station ( its a very small station) when it gets too busy to let people in and out and to return to London you may have to walk to Mornington Crescent station 6 mins away. I would definitely recommend a trip to Camden.

Reviewed February 4, 2013

I have heard alot about this place, and I finally had the chance to go. I would recommend this place to all, its oout of this world! So much to see, you need a full day! I did not manage to go through all of it, but was so amazed and awe struck! I was very impressed with the vegan and vegetarian options and places to eat! Definately a must see!!

“Very entertaining”
Reviewed February 3, 2013 via mobile

Went to Camden Markets. Thought the markets on the highstreet would be clichéd but even here I was pleasntly surprised. Even got a couple of cool designed t shirts got 4 quid knocked off for buying two together. Its not as bohemian fashoinistas as it maybe was years ago but thats not to condem. On the contrary its a thoroughly relaxed entertaining walk through market and small shop culture and check out the architecture and history of the stables section. Food is fresh and plentiful and they encourage you to try but not to the point of hassel. A very nice day out on a cold but bright Feb day so spring summer it would be a delight, especially as you can combine a trip on the canal either to a new destination or back to the market. ( if your a real ale fan or just a fan of pubs check out the HAWLEY just to the right as you go under the railway bridge. Good beers and atmos)

NB. As you walk up from Camden tube keep your eyes peeled and up to catch the huge fixtures over a lot of shops like giant snakes, 5 meter long trainers etc. FINAL WORD go check it out
