Family of four stayed in a suite, including two pull-out sofas (both of which the hotel had opened and made up for us). Staff was very nice. Room was very large, as was bathroom. Turn down service was nice, as was gift of chocolates for kids at registration. Location is great --- 1 block from British Museum, 5 minute walk from Covent Garden and Central and Piccadilly Lines, many buses from right in front of hotel. Nice location to be near everything yet not right in the overly touristy areas.

Stayed here recently for 1 night on a trip for our wedding aniversary - Hotel was lovely and the room was good (not as nice as the public areas but still a nice room)
The service was very good. The receptionist was very helpful and helped us out with a map etc. The concerirge booked us tour tickets and they were able to help us with public transport out to see our show at night.
we got this on a really good rate and the room was good value for money.
very close to oxford street and the british museum making it a short bus ride from victoria and picadilly.
Would recommend this hotel for couples or buiness users.

Room Tip: The breakfast is quite expensive and there are lots of good alternatives close by - Costa coffee, Pret a manger, local cafes etc.

tayed for two nights in April 2013. I chose this hotel because of its proximity to The British Museum and Holborn Tube Station (plus the good Tripadvisor reviews).

At check-in I asked for a quiet room and was allocated a room on the Mezzanine. The room was tucked away at the back of the building down a warren of corridors - but it was very quiet as requested. It looked out on the inner-courtyard - so no view (but that didn't bother me).

My visit coincided with the unseasonal cold snap (it snowed during my stay) - the air-con unit provided blown-air heat for the room and was a little temperamental, I would have preferred a normal radiator as it was hard to get a constant temperature in the room.

The room was clean and nicely furnished as was the bathroom – had a good nights sleep both nights. Safe deposit box in the bottom of the wardrobe and normal tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast was normal buffet-style, no complaints here. There was also free WiFi in the room.

As you would expect, there are endless places for breakfast, lunch and dinner within a few minutes walk from the hotel and there is also a handy Sainsburys supermarket opposite Holborn Tube station (which is the closest tube station – less than 10 mins walk.

Overall the hotel met my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Kingsley for our anniversary in late April/Early May of 2012 and were not disappointed! The staff was excellent, especially Giuseppe in the bar/restaraunt (hi!) - he sent us to a great little authentic pizza place outside of the city that we never would've known about otherwise.

The hotel's location is fabulous. You can walk to the British Museum easily, and you're right by a very useful bus stop that hits several lines. The walk to Covent Garden's tube station is quick and you pass right by a Boots and a grocery store for any needs you may have. We walked to Covent Garden for shopping, too, as well as the theater district. When we were there, we had no issues getting where we needed to go from our hotel.

Our room was small but well-appointed and the bathroom was super nice. The room was spotless. We had some people next door who were smoking in their room (we could smell it), and the front desk took care of it immediately. I'd absolutely stay at the Kingsley again. Loved it!

Having stayed at the The Kingsley to celebrate a special occasion we had an absolutely marvellous experience! Our room was fabulous! We stayed in an Executive King room on the "Time for Romance" package and we were greeted by a bottle of champagne and Belgian chocolates but also a lovely celebratory card and a tied bag of mini eggs- how charming!! We also had breakfast in the room which couldn't be faulted with a fantastic selection. We did have a slight surprise at check-in as I had booked the hotel a while ago on the phone and as we travel frequently I had assumed the cost had already come off our card at the time of booking but we were informed this was not the case (I was concerned that the booking might come off several times but no worries there!) The room was very large and had a really beautiful bathroom so I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in London (especially theatre goers as the location is perfect although the initial hunt for it may take a little longer than expected- it is hidden down a side road!). Overall a wonderful experience!
