“Perfect presentation of the history of the city”

The presentation spans from the ice-age up to now. Perfectly supported by Multimedia. Entrance ins free, but a donation off GBP 5 will reflect the quality of the exhibition.

“An unsung hero”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

The Museum of London is one of the lesser known museums, but it shouldn't be. It has a brilliant collection of exhibits through the ages, from the Roman invasion to the 2000s. The better parts of the museum are at the start: Roman invasion, Anglo-Saxons and Great Fire of London. A mixture of information and artefacts, in addition to interactive exhibitions, take you on a journey, London's journey. The remainder of the museum, whilst interesting, delegates the 1700s onwards to London's other fantastic museums. For instance, for royal history the Tower of London offers most and for wars the Imperial War Museum (closed until June 2013) offers most. Our visit was during term-time and the Museum was quiet and we could venture through it at our own leisure.

“Good Museum, Lots to see”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

This is a very good museum. There is lots to see and it is laid out and presented very well. You walk round with the events in chronological order. The displays range from BC, romans, plague, fire of London, Victorians, gradually moving to the modern day. I particularly enjoyed the Victorian street. There were a few hands on displays and interactive screens. The shop also has good items. There are cafes which looked good and an area to store your bags if needed. It wasn’t too busy. I would recommend.

“One of the best Museums I have visited”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

I was staying in London for the weekend and had an afternoon free before my flight. I spend 3 hours there and was time well spent. There is something for everyone and especially enjoyed the Victorian garden. The attraction is free of charge (donations are appreciated), has 2 good cafes, secure storage for your bags and a good mix of people looking around. Also interesting talks from the museum guides.
Easy access from a couple of tube stations nearby and well sign posted. Could not fault it and it was good to support this free attraction.
