This is a wonderful museum with a very interesting permanent collection (and temporary exhibitions as well). But there is one big problem with it - there are A LOT of people touching the ancient artifacts. I even saw a woman put her small child on top of a 3000 year old statue so that she could take a picture - THIS IS NOT DISNEYLAND! The British Museum should hire more staff to keep an eye on things.

The best thing of this museum is that when you visit it with your teenage daughter and she then loves it ; wow . I prepared myself before and give here the best info I could on the stuning collection of pieces! If you want to give ypur kids a jouney in something very special; go here!

As one of the world's oldest museums. It's one of the cultural treasures of the world. If you love mummies or Greek or Egyptian history it has to be on your bucket list. I realize this until I visited it but it has the original Rossetta Stone.

Karl Marx wrote his treatse on communism Das Capital in the British Museum.

The museum is very large, and we did not get to see everything. The place is well kept despite the amount of people who goes (it's free). The statues/objects are huge, but make sure you read the descriptions! Overall, the museum is worth a visit if you want to explore a little history of each part of the world.

This may be the greatest museum in the world, especially if you have any interest in Egyptian, Greek, or Roman history. Beware though- you cannot see it all!
