There are so many interesting things to see. Our family favorites were the Egypt (mummies) collection and the Rosetta Stone area. We were a bit disappointed with the audio guide (too slow to load and many items didn't have any commentary). I would strongly recommend downloading the FREE app and following along on your iPod/iPad or getting a guide book and bringing along the information for the key items that you want to see or taking a guided tour if you have the time and are willing to pay.

Rosetta Stone, Elgin Marbles, and all else in between, from Assyrian antiquities to Egyptian mummies, and just up from the John Soanes Museum! One could spend a month here, though I was amazed what we accomplished in a day.

Many floors with tons of amazing stuff!, lots of benches so you can have a rest at any time. Amazing staff, very kind and available to provide guidance. I had visited very times and still want to come back!

Lindow Man (Bog Man), Elgin Marble, just tons of great history. Hang out, take your time, and enjoy.

Simply put, no trip to London is complete without a visit to the British Museum. I finally got to see all the objects that had been removed from their original homes for safe keeping in the Museum. Plan at least a half day and view your favorite civilizations. Food in the cafe is surprisingly good.
