This ship is very close to the Hilton Tower Bridge. My first time on a battle cruiser. Be prepared for steep stairways to all levels. A must see when visiting London

Thank plasmid

Visited on Tuesday 2nd April with my seven year old son. This was his second visit, and I can say that he enjoyed it (as did I) just as much. Allow yourself a good four hours to do the ship justice.
The only think I would say is that you need to be relatively mobile to get up and down all of the ladders. Very small children (say less than 6), and seniors with mobility problems will struggle.

If you love naval history then this ship is well worth the visit. Tour was well laid out and you got to see many areas of the ship. A great way to pass a few hours and soak up some British Naval History.

A splendid way to pass a couple of hours (or longer, as there is much to see) exploring this warship, which is well laid out with a view to leading one around the various sections of the vessel. Video is used to illustrate various aspects of life at sea, and the onboard workshops, laundry,, hospital and galley etc. actually smell like the real thing. The engines and boiler room are a maze of pipework and one can only marvel at the way so much has been crammed into such a small space.

A nostalgic look at how things used to be...back in the day!!

I loved this attraction! For a guy, military museums are exciting stuff! It is a good opportunity to be able to have access to almost the entire battleship, inside and out. It takes you back in time seeing how the ship crew lived on board and operated. The free audio guide is quite informative.

One aspect of the tour I've liked a lot were the life-like manekins of the crew in various areas of the ship performing various tasks. Bunch of guys operating the radar, navigating etc down to the crew's quarters where they sleep, play cards, or even the sick bay where two surgeons operate on a patient, or a dentist working on a crew member's teeth. The kitchen was particularly interesting too, dudes peeling potatoes, filleting fish, making soup etc.

You can access probably three quarters of the ship's area, boiler and engine room, engineering workshops, turrets and so on. If you're into this sort of stuff, time will fly by very quickly. I came in two hours before closing thinking it will be enough, unfortunately it wasn't, could have used another hour at least.

Will visit this ship again when in London.

Thank Dan C
