The house was interesting. I specifically went to see the Victoria exhibition which was interesting but I was disappointed with its small array of personal exhibits. The different rooms took you through the stages of her life with her dolls and the dolls house, her wedding dress, mourning clothes and her jubilee. With the emerald tiara and jewellery designed by Albert being the highlight. The Diana dresses only had a few dresses with the dress she wore when she danced with John Travolta, being the only significant outfit. The state apartments were very grand in comparison to the Victoria and her mother lived in. The catering is poor, the cafe was cramped and full, the pavilion looks nice with white table clothes, but the menu is very limited. I only spent 3 hours for a complete visit on a Saturday.

Kensington Palace is one of London’s most well-known attractions and it is a must-visit, especially if you want to learn more about the history of the monarchy. I especially loved the exhibits about Queen Victoria and her husband Albert. It was nice learning more about their relationship in the context of Queen Victoria’s reign. The exhibit about Princess Diana’s fashion journey was also amazing, and I loved seeing her transformation as a public figure through her fashion choices.

The highlight was the display of Diana's dresses. Such a beautiful and elegant display of clothes worn but the style icon that was Princess Diana. King's staterooms and Queen's staterooms were interesting and the rooms were easy to move around. Just walked straight in with no queue and no crowds at this time of the year. Gift shop was great and reasonably priced.

After a great walk through Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens we arrived at Kensington Palace. It was divided up into 4 distinct tours. The kings apt, queens apt, queen Victoria and Albert, and lastly a tribute to Princess Diana and fashion. There were enthusiastic guides in each section except the Diana exhibit (which was self explanatory). It was a great lesson in the transition from Tudor to Stuart monarchy, as well as how the park property came under control of the king.
The stories told of Albert and Victoria gave me a very different view of that era

We visited Kensington Palace today and found it in need of a revamp. The rooms in the palace which are available for viewing are for the most part dull, sparsely furnished and very dark. The Diana exhibit is probably the most interesting part but even this is a disappointment (it’s fun to recognise her clothes, but one is also reminded how quickly fashions change. The fashions of the 1989s haven’t generally worn well). The entrance cost is excessive. I’d advise anyone to avoid the palace and just wander around the gardens.

Walking round London you stumble on the places you probably only see on the TV. Kensington Palace is one place and you don't understand how close you are to the 'Royals' - like just the other side of a 20 foot wall. Amazing architecture and it's free....

The tour was not what I expected. This is not a very lavish palace. Fairly simple with not much to it. To me, the tour area is small and not worth the money. The best part was the Princess Dianna fashion gallery because my wife is such a Dianna fan. That should be a separate attraction at a cheaper price. The best part of the whole tour, is how open they are about allowing pictures anywhere. Cool to see but don’t expect much.

This was very informative and interesting of the older royals. How they lived and used the palace. I thought Diana’s clothes were a bit morbid. And although she did great things for humanity, her outdated wardrobe doesn’t show the person she was. I left the palace feeling that Diana’s story didn’t show the love she deserves. Especially since so much love was portrayed from Albert and Victoria

Very much enjoyed seeing princess Diana's dresses accompanied by a photo of her wearing them. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful which added to our enjoyable time there. Nice cafe and shop.

We were only in London for two days, but we visited numerous attractions, and this was our favorite. The self-guided tour is fascinating. The best part was the exhibit about Lady Diana's Fashions as Communication--it if is still there, this is a MUST SEE attraction. Even if it is not, I would definitely recommend visiting Kensington to anyone who asked. It is brilliantly curated and informative. Moreover, the gardens are beautiful and Hyde Park is connected to the palace grounds and gardens--it is a really beautiful place to walk and enjoy nature and the view of the city at the same time.
