A worthwhile visit, I had been before but to se the crown jewels and some of our history, fascinating.
Returned after dark to see the remembrance lights, but unfortunately so crowded that we couldn't get close enough, but glad we tried.

We travelled to London by train so I printed out the 2 for 1 offer available. If you are travelling to Waterloo I would recommend getting the underground to the Tower as it was a long way to walk, unless you want the exercise!

We deliberately didn't go during the school holidays as I am sure it must be manic then. We didn't have to queue to get our ticket, the only queue was for the Crown Jewels exhibition, but it didn't take us long to get inside the building, it is very well organised. Make sure you don't miss any of the attractions within the Tower walls, it is easy to do this unless you keep looking at the map. It is not a full day trip on it's own, but there is a lot of walking and stairs to climb, so I would be careful what else you do on the same day.

Although very touristic still a very nice visit. Tickets purchased via the website to avoid the crowds and offering a discount. Started with a tour with one of the Beefeaters. Very informative and humorous.
After the tour so much more to explore. Best to
arrive early.

The lights at the tower were amazing. The atmosphere was very friendly. Just so so busy, but to be expected at a time like this

Really interesting place to visit. Walking around the battlements was the best - climbing up all the towers en route. The Crown Jewels and the Prison tower were 5 star. The café is also good with plenty of space. It goes without saying that there are lots of steps and spiral staircases so a modicum of fitness is required. I have stated 2-3 hours for length of visit but if you stop for lunch in the café it would probably be more, especially if you take the time to read all the excellent exhibition material. The ravens are huge!

Fortunately, we had pre-booked a visit to the moat for the Remembrance time and arrived at Tower Hill station earlier than expected. The number of visitors took the organisers by surprise and we arrived at our appointed entrance just on time. We were given a brief speech by a Beefeater, which was excellent and were allowed to wander at will and take as many photographs as we wanted. Very emotional.
