The tower sits on the bank of the Thames and allows for great views of Tower Bridge and the London skyline, including "The Shard." Upon entering we chose the wall-walk path that takes you along the perimeter of the fortress, allowing stops along the way with exhibits and fun facts about its 1000 year history. After this we visited The Crown Jewels in their new exhibit which opened in 2012. Due to the off-season, we were able to walk straight in and view the treasures, but apparently most of the year it stays very crowded. They had ropes and lines much like an amusement park that were not in use. The White Tower is the oldest building here and houses an interesting collection of armament with many exhibits. The "Bloody Tower" was somewhat disappointing and contained only 2 torture devices.
