A bit of a treat en route to Paris via Eurostar and not wanting a painfully early start, we booked a night here, staying in a "Barlow" room. It is very comfortable and of good quality. The view from the window was just the arch roof of St Pancras station, so nothing special. What is special, though, is how the architectural features of the building have been recovered and restored after being vandalised while in the "care" of British Rail. the staff are all helpful and friendly.
We didn't eat or drink in the hotel - there is plenty of alternative choice close at hand at more attractive prices. All hotels in this area are expensive - our thought was we could pay £150 - £200 for an indifferent mid range hotel or £250 for something justa bit special.More
