“Fantastic, don't miss it!”
Review of Thames River Boats

We did this trip in the midst of the Olympics, so it was quite busy. If you come to London you must do a river boat trip as it's a fantastic way to see London and learn some facts about the river and it's famous landmarks. We got a 2 for 1 booklet from the ticket office in St Pancras which included the river cruise experience, we were told about the 2 for 1 by a London 2012 guide in Kings Cross foyer, what a nice man! The comentary on the boat is done by the very aptly named 'river men', they are so entertaining and all delivered with a flair only a true Londoner could provide, we loved it!

Best kept secret - even though we are in the midst of the Olympics, this service this service remains easy to use - no queues - always a seat - and what a great way to see the sights of this wonderful city. We travelled from Greenwich back into the city (we got off at Waterloo)... & it was £5.40 each on our Oyster Card (7pm on a Saturday) - a good 20 minute cruise past all the sights. Absolutely amazing & thoroughly recommended!

We went to Westminister Pier and for a change caught a river boat up river to Hampton Court this one way trip takes about 3 hours. The boat in question was very old early 1900's I think and she had a plaque that stated that she had been one of the little ships that went to Dunkirk to help evaquate the soldiers from the beach's of France. It was a great trip with a running Commentary on the landmarks both historic and modern the man that gives it is also a bit of a comedian. It was also interesting as we passed through my home area Brentford and Chiswick and to see it from the river is so different from the land. To book the trips and get information go to http://www.wpsa.co.uk, as the Thames is tidal sailing times will vary. Pensioners get a half price deal with a Freedom pass. You can get basic food and drink at reasonable prices on the boat. Great way of spending a day we will definately go again. BON VOYAGE!!!

Brilliant, we had a lovely trip along the Thames, and saw all the sights, and learned all the history of the bridges and the buildings along the Thames - fantastic!
