Missing mexican in London is lot like a having a phantom limb. You think it's there, but nothing really holds up. Then I went to Cantina. I had their carnitas, because really that's all that matters. I kid you not there were tears of joy. Do not keep reading this, just go down there and get their carnitas. You will not forget it. I honestly didn't pay much attention to the ambiance, but when I think about it, its really not that great. The staff were great, its just a bit stuffy in there. But part of that is just being in London I think. Still completely worth it!

The place is OK but the ambiance was average (plain decoration , no music).A tourist trap really.I have to admit that I never found a great Mexican in London but this one was the worst. The "signature " cokctails (margaritas) was not that good. Then the food , Not so fresh I believe and tasteless , exception from the guacamole which was made in front of us (like the concept). I will never go back there and I certainly won't recommend this place.

Very friendly and welcoming staff, lovely food at reasonable prices. The only difficulty was deciding what to have, even the veggie selection actually had a reasonable choice. Would definitely go again and it was good to find somewhere with nice atmosphere and décor without the usual snotty attitude of some west end places!

A bit pricy for the quantity and quality, but overall fine cuisine and service. The waitress was always in a hurry and we didn't get as much ideas on what to chose.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for lunch near Covent Garden.

We had fajitas with chicken and beef, and "Carnitas tacos" with slow roast pork. The food was okay, but the chicken on the fajitas plate was bone dry and the flavors of both dishes could have been more exciting.

The apple pie and fudge brownie for dessert were both served on a sizzling skillet with a sugary sauce that apparently was "Mexican brandy butter". They were nice, but extremely hot and very very sweet.

It was an okay lunch, but nothing memorable.
