It does the job, I got a perfectly pleasant double room if a little on a small side. I do wish they'd include a few frills though, the lack of any kind of toiletries, biscuits, does make the experience feel somewhat austere.

Bed as always for Travelodge was very comfortable. The midday checkout is another plus.

Good location, only 5 mins walk from Waterloo. I didn't sample the breakfast so can't comment on that.

It is great to hear that you enjoyed your recent stay ThePoker. Unfortunately as standard we do not provide toiletries in our rooms, we do however have toiletries available in vending machines from reception.

The location of this hotel is great. It's cheap and cheerful and ideal for a low cost holiday in London. You're close to Waterloo train station and underground. Rooms nice. Awful breakfast - eat out!!

We decided to travel to London for New Years Eve and so this hotel was well located for the fireworks.
The room was generally clean if basic. A dog was in a nearby room which barked every now and again.
The room was not very comfortable for chilling and watching TV but by the end of the night when we got back, we got a good nights sleep, and breakfast was ok.
The bar staff were very friendly and it was great to buy drinks in a hotel without feeling ripped off.

Ive never stayed with a travelodge before so i thought id give it a go. The price was very cheap for a weekend after new year. I paid £104 for the room without breakfast. Check in was quick and the room was clean. The shower was amazing! I expected the hotel to be rather noisy due to where it was located but it had a very peaceful nights sleep.
I paid for breakfast on the sunday morning at reception which was £7.65 as i was suffering with a hangover. Lets say, i should have walked down to the Cypriot cafe a 5 minute walk away. the egg was powdered egg, the bacon was like cardboard and the orange juice was disgusting. For £4.50 i could have got freshly squeezed OJ, and a decent english breakfast in the cafe down the road. Other than that the stay was pleasant and enjoyable.

Room Tip: I booked through a discount website in august for my room

We are pleased to learn you found our room to be clean and you had a peaceful nights sleep Bev W. It is however regrettable to learn of your experience in our Bar Café. Our café staff are fully trained on how to prepare food to a great standard so we are truly sorry to learn you did not enjoy the quality of the food. We will be sure to pass on your comments to the hotel management team so that they are able to address the issues you have raised. Thank you for your feedback.

Stayed here from 1st-5th January, 5 mins walk from Waterloo station excellent location with good links to tube line around London. Walk to Big Ben 10 mins. Check in they fast and lovely staff. Room basic but for what we wanted somewhere to wash and sleep (beds very comfortable)perfect for the money, we were out all day sight seeing. Had breakfast there and found it good value for money and set us up nicely for the day. Rooms always cleaned everyday no complaints.
Places we visited were:
Westminster abbey - wonderful, Churchill war museum, horse guards parade, London zoo, Camden market, St. Paul's, Kensington place, winter wonderland, portobello market, London tower, tower bridge, wembley. We purchased the London pass with travel for 3 days and payed £100 each, for us we defo got our money's worth from the pass. Had a great time any question let me know. Thanks for reading my review

The hotel is clean and the staff is pleasant. Rooms are small but clean. Don't expect luxury for this price and you won't be disappointed. The breakfast buffet was very nice, especially for the price.

My only complaints are about the WiFi service, which only allows one device to connect on a given account (you have to pay for the service), and that my shower drain was slow.

This was my second stay at a Travelodge in London this year, and they are a good value. Waterloo location is about a 5-minute walk from the Waterloo train/underground station and there is a lot to see and do nearby.

We expected a low budget hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was clean, staff friendly, buffet breakfast tasty and plentiful. The hotel is situated within easy walking distance of Waterloo station, thus easily accessible, even with luggage.
Good base to explore London from.
