On a very crisp and cold December day, I bundled up in long underwear, gloves and hat and rode off with Chris on a bicycle tour of London with a small group of 7 people. Our tour was perfect; we saw all the key sites of London while Chris provided some interesting tales and history along the way. Chris is an excellent guide and taking the back streets to see some "off-the-beaten-path" was a highlight. I'd highly recommend this tour, no matter what the weather is like (as long as you dress properly).

Whilst staying in London for a short break with our grown up children,we decided a cycle tour would be a very interesting and fun way of all of us getting round the sights. Afterwards we all agreed that It turned out to be the highlight of the entire stay. The tour was interesting even before we collected the bikes. Our guide, Chris, was very friendly, and certainly knew his stuff, and was full of interesting snippets of information. Cycling along some of the most famous streets in the capital was just a wonderful experience. Only 2 real inclines, but even us 50+ age group managed them easily. The bikes themselves were in very good condition and was certainly the most comfortable I have ever riden. We plan on repeating the experience in the future, and highly recommend Breakaway Bike Tours.

- Before the 3pm tour, my sisters and I were shopping around and when it drizzled a bit, we thought we could use it as an excuse to skip the bike tour and just continue shopping.. hehe.
But after a call to check with the friendly bike tour guide, Chris, he assured us that the weather forecasts says the rain will stop by 245pm. So we made our way there, and just as he had said, the sun came out at 245pm. (how precise!)
- Chris was a great tour guide in making sure we were comfortable before setting off. We were a group of about 8 pax with people of varied bike-riding confidence. Chris was obviously a very experienced tour guide and always made sure the traffic was safe enough for the whole group before proceeding. The speed was rather manageable too.
- We took the East End Tour and saw pretty amazing things that we never imagined would have been possible without this tour. (graffittis, unique architectures, stories/ legends/ history, etc)
- For the insight gained into London and the experience, the price we paid was probably the most value-for-money service we paid for in our entire London trip!
- We would definitely recommend BrakeAway bike tours for the most professional and enjoyable experience.

We were originally booked for the Saturday Secret LondonTour, but as it was our arrival day from the US, we were hit with jet lag and had to cancel. Brake Away was very accomodating and allowed us to participate in the next day's Grand Tour of London for no extra cost, as the tour was not full. Our guide, Chris, expertly guided us through London's maze, visiting not only the obvious landmarks, but some facinating and quirky items of interest. At the tour's end, he offered to give any advice or directions before parting. We described our intentions to see the Changing of the Guard Marching Band and/or the Horse Guard Parade Grounds. He outlined a path with time table we should follow to get the best views of the next day's events, and it couldn't have worked out any better!

Our tour guide Chris was awesome and we had a great time riding around central London. I was a bit nervous, as I had my 10 year old son with us on the tour, however the tour was fantastic, and I had nothing to worry about. I loved the experience as we saw parts of the city that we would not have seen otherwise. Chris was lovely to talk to and provided us with a lot of great information as we stopped at the various landmarks.
I was very happy with our tour and our tour guide, Chris. We will certainly use BrakeAway again when we return to London.
