On an artistic plane, the Lion King is at best a good show but not one to completely blow your mind, especially if you have seen many musicals. The singing is good but no mind-blowing vocals in this cast. The more convincing acting came from Timon, Simba (the adult), Scar and Pumba. I really appreciate how child friendly they have made it. No amorous kissing between Simba and Nala, a nice hug instead. Some very good effort on props.
In certain scenes, I couldn't help feeling the cast is slightly bear. The celebration scenes at Pride Rock should ideally have more animals (actors) and majestic.
Overall one I would come back again only if I was looking for a great show to share with kids!
