Owner description: You will never forget the theatrical event that is Disney's THE LION KING. Brilliantly re-imagined by acclaimed director Julie Taymor, Disney's beloved film has been transformed into a spectacular stage production that explodes with glorious colours, stunning effects and enchanting music. At its heart is the powerful and moving story of Simba - the epic adventure of his journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as King of the Pridelands. 'There is simply nothing else like it.' As soon as the Circle of Life began I had goose bumps all around and my eyes filled up. The way the musical is performed, how the different animals are interpreted, even the scenery, is just amazing. Direct flashback to childhood. I am wowed!

A quality production with an excellent cast. We don't go to the theatre much but this was better than we expected.

Simply a wonderful show for all ages. Perfect for a family with younger children but enough here to keep the adults entertained too. The show is a master class of puppetry, spectacle and, of course, wonderful music. I'd recommend this show in conjunction with one of the many fantastic offers available for pre-show meals due to the Lyceum's central location.

Be wary though, I've spoken to many younger children that found the show quite scary at points (it does have a few darker moments) although you know your children best! Personally I think it's ok for 5 + but it's no worse than the film! Whatever you do, you'll enjoy it!!

Stunning show, the opening scene with all the animals on the stage was worth the entrance fee alone!

Wonderful show. As with anything Disney attention to detail was perfect. Have seen it twice from stalls and circle excellent view both time. You can almost forget that the animals are people!
