We booked this show on a number of reviews by friends and colleagues who raved about it. I have to say that it underwhelmed. Some of the acting/staging, choreography in the first half was am-dram/pantomime-like and much of the dialogue was difficult to hear. Added to that the theatre was like a sauna. Now this may have been an intentional plot to whisk you away to the African plains, but if that was the case some dust and smells should be added! The interval couldn't come soon enough as it allowed us to exit stage left and leave. Maybe it just wasn't for us, we all have different tastes, but this is the first time I and my wife have ever left a show halfway through. The Disney magic passed us by on this occasion.
