Description: Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names on the restaurant scene. With the world-renowned Gordon Ramsay behind the scheme to raise Petrus - now located on Knightsbridge's Kinnerton Street - from the ashes, the restaurant exudes the famous Ramsay sense of luxury combined with down-to-earth charm. Decorated in subtle tones of champagne, oyster and copper along with the claret red which inspired the restaurant's name, Petrus's beguiling interior is superbly decadent and romantic and actually quite intimate. In the kitchen, Head Chef Larry Jayasekara is creating its trademark modern French menu. At Petrus the highest-quality ingredients go into dishes that combine delicious familiar flavours with unique presentation. Expect waves of divine amuse-bouches and a stupendous wine list, including a long list of vintages of Petrus to make it all perfect.

“Outstanding dining experience”
Reviewed February 5, 2014

Booked 4 night stay in London months ago , our treat for the new year....booked mid week evening table at Petrus as a treat (hopefully !) . Prior to leaving home , received a confirmation email about a week before , then a telephone call a few days before . Arrived at Petrus on a dark , wet Wednesday night at the end of January . Warm greeting was welcome , & then we settled into the Petrus Dining Experience . Both service & food were outstanding throughout . We had studied the menus & (huge) winelist prior to leaving home , so we knew roughly what to expect . We both chose differently from the choices on offer , all delightful !! Not a cheap night out , certainly, but one which offered wonderful food all evening - ultimately , a night which proved to be good value for money . Not to be missed !

“Best food I've ever had!”
Reviewed February 5, 2014

My partner and I came here for lunch and we shared a tasting menu and a 3 course menu - of which we chose the pig belly, cheese selection, slow poached duck egg, braised ox cheek, and the banana Mille fieulle. We were given a complimentary amuse bouche, a miniature cannoli -like surprise and some white chocolate and champagne ice cream covered in white chocolate, served over liquid nitrogen. The food is absolutely incredible and I loved all the food I tried, including food I don't generally eat at home! The customer service is outstanding and we gave our compliments to the chef. To top the meal off we were taken down to the kitchen where we could personally thank the chef himself and watch all the staff busy at work. Brilliant restaurant and will definitely be coming back to visit when in town!

“great lunch at Petrus”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

We had a very enjoyable lunch at Petrus. The service was great. The food was excellent.
Good value and overall a great dining experience. If I would to pick on something it would be that deserts were good but not outstanding. Our party had both, set lunches and a la carte. I must say the set lunch represented outstanding value for money.

“Had higher expectations.”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

After reading all of the TA reviews, I was expecting to get my socks blown off at Petrus. Unfortunately, the food wasn't exceptional and we ended up having better service from our Sommelier. Petrus felt incredibly stuffy. It left us questioning why they even had one star and wishing we had instead gone back to The Ledbury. The highlight for us was getting to visit the kitchen. It truly was fascinating to see how efficient a high end kitchen is run.

“Fantastic lunch”
Reviewed February 3, 2014

Exquisite food, superbly presented and wonderfully attentive service. We had the lunch menu and the 5 course lunch was out of this World. I have eaten at several 2 star restaurants and would rank this as one of the best and not outrageously priced. A fantastic experience and gastronomic treat!
