Description: Renowned throughout London and beyond, Petrus is one of the biggest names on the restaurant scene. With the world-renowned Gordon Ramsay behind the scheme to raise Petrus - now located on Knightsbridge's Kinnerton Street - from the ashes, the restaurant exudes the famous Ramsay sense of luxury combined with down-to-earth charm. Decorated in subtle tones of champagne, oyster and copper along with the claret red which inspired the restaurant's name, Petrus's beguiling interior is superbly decadent and romantic and actually quite intimate. In the kitchen, Head Chef Larry Jayasekara is creating its trademark modern French menu. At Petrus the highest-quality ingredients go into dishes that combine delicious familiar flavours with unique presentation. Expect waves of divine amuse-bouches and a stupendous wine list, including a long list of vintages of Petrus to make it all perfect.

“Underwhelmed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2012

Have to say I was disappointed with the food. Booked this for my finances 30th birthday. The flavours an taste combinations where not upto Michelin standard IMO. We went to pollen street social today and that far exceeded any course we had in petrus.
The service was simply excellent though with a friendly comforting atmosphere.

“Nice dinner for special celebration”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2012

First ask for a table with a view on the amazing wine bottles rank, you could also enjoy all the activity and the tables of the restaurant.
Wine selection is just amazing with a real book, quite boring to read so don"t hesitate to ask to the sommelier for help, she was nice.
Regarding what said before by some people, price 65£ for 3 courses is good deal for the food and the service offered. Also some ''surprises' served between courses are very interesting and that make the night with a little more of something !...I'm french, love food and be very particular :)
We was here for our one year anniversary with my girlfriend and they offered us 2 macaroons after the dessert ....very appreciated and all the team were friendly with us when we stayed the last people in the restaurant at night...

“A lovely Thanksgiving”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2012

The last thing we wanted for Thanksgiving dinner was an attempt at a traditional American feast, so we booked into Petrus with our adult children and another young American expat. We have dined around the world and I have to say this was one of the nicest restaurant experiences. The decor was subtle but gracious and the service was seamless but relaxed. We were a lively group, and we were able to enjoy ourselves without feeling we were disturbing anyone else. I liked the relaxed dress code for men, which took nothing away from the fine dining atmosphere. I feel some of the negative reviews are from people who are not used to "adventures in eating." With how rich the food is, I am surprised anyone would complain about portion size. Top notch all the way!
