“Traditional Italian”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

Was reminiscing recently with friends about the small Italian family run restaurants we used to go to in the past in London - Mille Pini, Cosmoba, Mondella, Zucchini - all now either gone or taken over and given a modern expensive revamp with prices to match ! However, one favourite the Casa Becci remains. This restaurant is now run by the son of the previous owners. It has been redecorated etc. and is a cosy restaurant with some tables in a small garden at the back for sunny days. The food is good, inexpensive, the staff friendly and you feel like you are back in the old Italian trattorias of the 60s and 70s instead of one of the major chain of Italian restaurants where you feel like you are in a mortuary!,If you are ever in London near the Baker Street/Marleybone High Street area give it a try - you will not be disappointed.

“Lovely family style Italian, cant wait to go back!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2012

Accidentally stumbled across this restaurant and so glad that we did. All the people who work there are actually Italian ( helps to be Italian when youre cooking italian food!!). The waiters were really nice and helpful; giving recommendations to our indecisive friend! All of the food was really lovely and full of flavour. Particularly like the Veal Saltimbocca and the seafood marinara. We also had a few bottles of prosecco which was really good value at £17 a bottle.
The desserts were also really delicious! We had a three course meal and 4 glasses of prosecco each and it came to less than £40 a person which i think is fantastic value.
Cant wait to go back there. Really cosy, family athmosphere. Great place for a date. If you're looking for Michelin starred dining, you wont find it here. If you're looking for great home style Italian cooking full of flavour, then you've come to the right place!

“Great Family Food Italian-style”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

We've been going for 20 years and the Becci family have never let us down. Wonderful food, friendly service and a wonderfully inclusive "neighbourhood restaurant" feel to the place. The epitome of what a family-run Italian restaurant should be.

“What more can you ask of a restaurant? Amazing!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

My parents went there as usual the other day, and my Dad asked for lamb. There was none on the menu but the next night he was presented with what he has says has been "the best meal I have ever had". A very tasty lamb steak was presented to him, perfectly cooked. That is what I call excellent service!

Forget all the fancy 'to be seen in' restaurants, and give this one a whirl for traditional and excellent cooking, without the pretentious price tag!
