Was reminiscing recently with friends about the small Italian family run restaurants we used to go to in the past in London - Mille Pini, Cosmoba, Mondella, Zucchini - all now either gone or taken over and given a modern expensive revamp with prices to match ! However, one favourite the Casa Becci remains. This restaurant is now run by the son of the previous owners. It has been redecorated etc. and is a cosy restaurant with some tables in a small garden at the back for sunny days. The food is good, inexpensive, the staff friendly and you feel like you are back in the old Italian trattorias of the 60s and 70s instead of one of the major chain of Italian restaurants where you feel like you are in a mortuary!,If you are ever in London near the Baker Street/Marleybone High Street area give it a try - you will not be disappointed.
