“Wonderul Tour Of A Great Historic English Brewery”
Reviewed December 4, 2013

My daughter is studying microbiology to prepare herself to become a brewer. I told her that if she's going to brew beer she must have a proper appreciation of real English ales, including where they are made how they are served. So off to England we went!

Fuller's was a good tour for us because we saw both old equipment and modern equipment.

Dave was our guide. He was welcoming (calmed us down after a longer than expected travel time to the brewery) and patiently answered all of our questions. Thank you for a great tour Dave!

We walked to the next village and had lunch at the Dove. They of course served a number of Fuller's beers and by far the best food we had in London.

This is a must stop for any American who loves beer and wants to see how traditional cask ales are made. Just give yourself extra time to get to the brewery if you are taking the tube!

“Loved it! Thanks Jill”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

A belated fathers day present, we headed to the brewery early to get a drink and some food in before the tour. The little pub, the Mawson Arms, was really cosy and did an absolutely fantastic burger and chips which really hit the spot. Throw in a pint of ESB and I could have stayed there all day... but we had a tour to go on!

Jill was a great tour guide, telling us about the science behind the brewing and lots of little bits of information myself and my dad, novice homebrewers, really enjoyed listening to.

We went on a Friday afternoon, which meant that a lot of the working parts of the brewery were winding down for the weekend. It was a shame not to see more of the daily goings on, but on the positive side it made certain parts of the tour less noisy (apparently) so Jill's commentary could be heard by all. If you want to see more of the working side of the brewery, I'd avoid a Friday, but if you're more interested in listening and learning Friday is ideal :)

At the end of the tour, the tasting was great fun too. A little bit of each whilst looking around the Fullers archives was a great way to round off the tour.

Very much recommend!

“Fantastic Brewery Tour”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

8 of us did this tour for my husbands 50th Birthday. Jill, our guide, was wonderfully knowledgeable, interesting and fun. We were with several other gentleman who asked many questions and Jill always knew the answer as she'd spent many years working at the Brewery. It's a great trip out for a couple of hours and the ale tasting at the end is really good as you get to try many different varieties. All in all a good time was had by all (males and females!) and we finished off with a super lunch at the adjoining pub!

“A tribute to Jill.”

Booked for my dads birthday. Very interesting one of the better brewery tours we have been on. What made it so good was Jill (our guide) very knowledgeable about all things fullers and a very pleasant lady.

“Interesting and fun”
Reviewed October 1, 2013 via mobile

A very insightful tour with great detail shown of the brewing process, and how it has changed over the years. It's a well planned tour with lots of redundant older equipment retained for the enjoyment of the people taking the tour. It ended with a sampling session with well cared for ales creating the perfect drink
