Owner description: If you’ve ever wanted to know what makes Fuller’s ales taste so good, you’ll discover the secrets of our success on a tour of the Griffin Brewery. It’s a unique opportunity to see behind the scenes of a famous working brewery. Whether you’re looking for history and heritage, an insight into ale-making or just some superb samples, you’ll find them all here. We run up to 20 tours each week, all led by expert guides who aim to answer all your questions and give you a fascinating glimpse into British beer-making history. The tour lasts around one and a half hours and culminates with the highlight: a tutored tasting of some of Fuller’s finest ales.

The brewery tour was a last-minute addition to our activities in London, and the staff were extremely accommodating in getting us onto a tour. The tour itself was extremely professional and well-done, and our tour guide Jane was brilliant. She had extensive knowledge about the history of the brewery, the history of beermaking and fermentation, as well as the brewing process itself. The tour lasts about 90 minutes and takes you through both historic and modern-day parts of the facility. We are not big beer drinkers, but this was definitely worth the time and effort. Finishing off with generous tastes of 10 different beers was truly educational (I swear!) and the end of a great lesson in the brewing arts.

I've lived just up the road from the brewery for years and have aways wanted to find out what happens inside. I organised a private Vintage Ale tour for myself and nine friends and we had a fantasic time. Lots of tasting afterwards which helps compare the beers Fuller's brew before heading for a few beers in the sunshine along the river.

The guide couldn't have been more friendly and entertaining.

I thoroughly recommend it!

While in London, we took the Fuller's Brewery tour in Chiswick. It was very easy to get to. Our tour guide was Jane, an incredibly engaging and informative woman. Our tour consisted of only about 10 people, so we were able to ask questions and the tour catered to the interests of the group. At the end of the tour we were able to taste at least 10 different ales, and even learned how to "pull" a beer, as many of the selections were real ales in casks.
After the tour we ate in the restaurant attached to the brewery. The food was excellent.
Our tour guide encourage us to stroll along the Thames after the tour and lunch. It was beautiful, and the town, quite picturesque. If you have the time and like to sample the local flavor - this tour is for you.

An excellent afternoon spent. You really get a feeling and appreciation of how the pint in your glass is made. Followed by the sampling at the end which does pay for itself. We sampled every beer in the Fullers range which totally consumed well over 4 pints.
