“Excellent sandwich on bagette.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

Incredibly delicious sandwiches. The staff was helpful, accommodating and sincere. The freshness of the cheese, vegetables and meats were wonderful.
I would most definitely return and highly recommend stopping by this shop. The prices were extremely reasonable and even less than restaurants with sort of similar looking items in windows which are no where near the quality of La Cave a Fromage.

“An oasis of cheese”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 14, 2012

What a good find! I find that restaurants do not do a lot with cheeseboards these days so we decided to have lunch elsewhere and then a cheeseboard at this little place ideally located next to South Ken tube. What a great place. It had a wide range of French cheese and the cheeseboard came with a glass of wine. Simple but brilliant.

“Fabulous cheese selection!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

Been twice and already looking forward to my next visit! Would definitely recommend! The staff are friendly and the service is good. The food is fantastic! It is a nice place to go for lunch and eat in, but you can also buy any of the cheeses / cold meats / wines etc to take away. They let you sample as many of the cheeses / cold meats as you like before you buy and they are really helpful. They do a great baked camembert and you get various breads and cured meats to dip in it. It's about £14 for the baked camembert with a glass of house wine - quite a good deal.

Only downside is that they don't have a toilet.

“Cheese and wine heaven”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

Went for a friend's birthday in a large group, meaning la cave opened in the evening to privately give us a wine and cheese tasting experience - we each had a cheese platter and different wine to compliment, all served with bread/crackers. It was a delight! La Cave a Fromage were knowledgeable and you didn't leave hungry. As a cheese and wine lover it was a wonderful evening - although slightly chilly surrounded by the refrigerators, but the wine soon put paid to that!

“Simply the best cheese in England”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 19, 2012

Good lord! I recommend this place with trepidation because it is so good, and the produce is so rich and delicious you may well give yourself a coronary. There is an enormous select of cheese and cured meats, and a smaller but excellent selection of wines to accompany. The shop itself is very funky and modern, and the staff were incredibly helpful and found me a great selection of cheeses to take home. There is also an amazing selection plate that you can sit in and eat, and although it doesn't look huge, it was so filling we could barely finish it between the two of us.

Highly recommended, just make sure you don't eat before hand.
