“We've found our "go-to" place in London”
Reviewed December 1, 2010

Very little I can add to all the previous glowing reviews. But just to reinforce - the rooms have been beautifully designed - not an inch of space has been wasted, and everything has been thought of. Staff were exceptional - from check-in to front of house, restaurant team (in particular the concierge/greeter - what a fab lady!) were all above & beyond.

Hold onto your team Dean Street - other venues should look and learn - you guys are doing a fantastic job!

Spent four nights in room 26, which is a small (but big enough for a very comfortable king bed) room ,on ground floor rear.Very well designed and decorated but for the lack of any chair, wardrobe,or drawers. One uses hangers on hooks! Even the room safe is strangely on its own on the floor.
The staff seemed mostly European, and friendly.
The restaurant seemed full most of the time, except for our early Saturday breakfast which was excellent despite staff noise .Room service was quick from good list.
The bathroom was very smart but the sash window was so poorly fitted one sat under a cold draft despite the shutter and the room was always cold. There are far too many hair products from the "Cow shed" range. The shower door seal was missing.
Online rooms are priced "from" and our small room ended up about £70per night more than I had hoped, and at £230 it was over priced.

Great decor in both the public areas and the bedrooms. Stayed in Room 24 on the top floor - a good size double with a classy bathroom. No view to speak of but this is the heart of Soho so you are hardly expecting to see wildebeests grazing on the plains when you look out the windows.

Location is perfect if you are in London for nightlife and shopping.

Quick and friendly check-in service.

deanstreet townhouse is like balm to the soul. the aroma of scented candles on the reception desk is heavenly. it s location is superb - its in the heart of theatre land yet its an oasis of tranquility and calm. its like a hunting lodge lovelingly restored but brought up to a very high level of comfort and modernday creature comforts.

the bedrooms are superb - white egyptian cotton linen and pillows like clouds.
rainforest showers, very high standard of hygiene and full size cosmetics top it off.

very helpfull staff and as a lone traveller i was made to feel very special.
After staying here you will be spoilt for going anywhere else.

Enjoyed a perfect service at Dean Street Townhouse getting ready for my wedding......from ironing the wedding dress.....and bringing everything what was missing/needed within no time.....to getting me in time to my wedding venue - I had absolutely everything I needed. The room is spacious and in everything exactly what you expect from this hotel when you look at the website first. On top of this you can enjoy the fantastic cowshed products.

GO and try....you will not be disappointed.

We booked a small room for a Friday night dinner stayover in London. On arrival we'd been upgraded to a medium room which had a freestanding bath in the bedroom a huge super kingsize bed and wonderful full size cowshed products for us to use freely.

The decor was gorgeous and every detail had been well thought through. Home backed cookies with tea in our room were a lovely touch and had been replenished at turndown for a pre breakfast nibble in the morning.

Had a lovely stay and would heartily recommend.

I have already reviewed the DST on Trip Advisor, stayed again last week and thought it worth updating that the high standards that they started with are being maintained. Helpful friendly staff, great rooms, brilliant extras, sky+, super fast free wi-fi, comfy beds, great bathrooms and mega useful free toiletry pack. Running out of superlatives, for me one of the best small boutique hotels in the world.
