There were 6 of us with a table for 9:30. Two glasses of Meursault were being sipped when part of the entourage noticed that the table behind us had some fellow countrymen there. They went out to inform the Prince who was of course the last to arrive. In the meantime we had the waiter remove the bottle of wine and the two, part drunk glasses as well. Having now ordered water all round the Prince arrived, said his hello's to the table behind and we could begin our meal. The host, the Sheikh ordered 9 starters for the table. This was a good idea as we had a bit of each one and some were really delicious. This restaurant says on its menu that they may bring the meals at different times as some take longer to prepare. Then we had fresh plates in front of us. When the main courses arrived they were placed not in front of you but behind the empty plate. Eventually the 6 main courses were in a circle on the table. So you can, and we did, share some dishes. I had Dover sole on the bone. It was not thoroughly cooked and was stuck to the bone a bit, none the less it tasted nice although it had a strong sauce over it which tends to cover the flavour of the delicate fish. We did not have a sweet or coffee. As usual the restaurant was full and busy. Good fun.
