“Litrally THE worst hotel.”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 via mobile

So we are currently staying at the windmill, the location is good, but that is where the good part ends..

Its currently 11pm and there is some middle aged man shouting down a microphone, the pub claims this is a "rap night"
This isn't a one off, last night we had drunk people fighting, punching signs, flashing and screaming till late in the night.
The hotel reception is empty and there was never a member of staff around to speak to.
Breakfast was a loaf of bread, fatty ham, plastic cheese and stale croissants...

Now I know at £85 a night I wasn't expecting the Ritz but I have stayed at hostels for £10 a night with better staff service food and beds...

If you're reading this and thinking silly old person.. my partner and i are 23 and regularly travel to budget hotels...

Our 3 sons all live in London and therefore we travel there very regularly and this is one of the best value places we have stayed. The rooms are basic but clean and tidy, the shower in our room (117 on the ground floor) was great. Breakfast we ok with cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast and croissants plus meat and cheese. Location is good with lots of eating and drinking venues within a 10 minute walk plus the under/overground stations also within easy walk. We were in car and the road outside (A5) is very very busy and congested at busy times but at quieter times not far from the M1 junction at Staples Corner so easy to get too.

As one of our sons lives 1 mile down the road in a shared house we will probably stay here again.

A friend, me and our sons stayed a few days when coming over to see Arsenal - Norwich. Decided on the Windmill based on reviews here and on hotels.com. None of us was dissapointed.

If you are expecting to come to a "hotel", you will be put of by the standard of the rooms and the quality of the beds, but as this is a B&B - and considering the price - this is a very good choice. The rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was OK.

I read some reviews saying there's a lot of noise coming from live bands/music, but I can't really say. This was October and I guess it wasn't the season for it.

Nice touch with the breakfast lined up on the bar counter and the whole stay gave us a good feeling in general.

It's a bit from the closest tube station, but close enough to walk to.

Will probably consider the Windmill again the next time we're in London.

Although I haven't stayed at the Windmill in I have frequented the pub quite regularly. All of the staff are very helpful and friendly, especially the one called cirsty. She is friendly and engaging and never fails to ask me how my day has been. It is always great to be served by someone with such enthusiasm and I will continue to visit for the nice atmosphere and a good beer.

We have just stayed for two nights. The front room we had was small and basic, it was adequate for what we needed a base. The bathroom was clean and the shower was always hot. If I stayed again I would request a room at the rear of the building because of the street noise. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate is provided. Couldn't comment on the breakfast or the bar as we did not use them. There is a Wetherspoons opposite which served again basic food at a reasonable price. This hotel is a great base with easy access into central London (£2.40 on the No.16 bus takes you straight into Victoria station via Marble Arch). There are bus stops outside the hotel and the tube station is about a 15 minute walk away. There are plenty of fast food outlets in the area and some shops stay open for 24 hours. We found the staff to be very friendly and would stay here again because of its location.

Room Tip: If you struggle to sleep due to noise request a room at the rear.

We stayed here for 3 nights this week while enjoying a short stay in London. The hotel room is very basic but clean with a TV, and coffee making facilities. Could have done with an iron though! The location is excellent for tourists, being a short walk from Kilburn station and the whole of central London easily accessible. Ideal for anyone wanting to stay somewhere close to the West End at an affordable price. The down side to the stay was the noise in the mornings. A lot of workmen stay at the hotel and they are very noisy very early in the mornings banging about and slamming doors. It wouldn't stop me from staying here again though. There's a decent well priced Wetherspoons pub directly opposite which we enjoyed having a drink and a bite to eat in.
