So I booked this on a website where I found the Thames suit for very cheap!

Once I booked a colleague explained he had been and was not impressed. You need to walk through an estate to get there and if you dont have a good view you will be looking at the slef store across the street.

We drove at night so didnt see the estate but as soon as I got there all reservations were put at east. The reception is beautiful with very helpful staff. The driver came out quickly and took the car to the car park. (Price was pretty steep at £15 per night to park but I was only there for one night).

As people say we werent in the main hotel but in the building where the resturant is, and this was 5 steps away so dont worry.

The room and view was AMAZING!!! very hi tech and just romantic. We were directly above the bar but no noise really and it was a Friday night.

The only thing was that it was a bit too Hi Tech, I am 24 and very tech savy but still couldnt work out the light switches and temp gauges as they were on the TV. The shower which is a massage shower was also very confusing but was all part of the experience.
I would say that it was a bit annoying that you have to manually roll up every blind on the floor to cieling windows but hey, I dont care too much about that!

The 50% off voucher for food is not for ALL food so be careful what you order.

But all in all this was an amazing hotel!!

Room Tip: Go for a river view or at least partial view to stop facing the road and bus stop

This is undoubtedly one of the nicest and friendliest hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at. From arrival the staff ensured we were well looked after and the courtesy car to/from the station was very welcome. The room although not river facing was amazing and had the most fantastic bathroom. The whole experience made our weekend stay in London very memorable, sincere thanks to the staff.

I stayed for one night (booked a Deluxe Double Room via Booking.com) and was upgraded to a Nile Suite - room 214 - scene 0004 if you click on Virtual Tour on the hotel's website! Oodles of space including a dining table which I'm sad to not have sat at! The view has a fair amount to be desired with only a partial river view but who needs it when there's a great Roof Terrace you can access. Loved the iPod dock and speakers in the huge bathroom (there was a tv next to bath which I sadly didn't use either). Awesome to be able to browse the internet with the wireless keyboard and remote!!! Good spa facilities. Nice bar and restaurant - the sample menu on the hotel's website is current so you've no excuse to be shocked about the cost! Thoroughly recommend.

My only negative comments are in reference to the hotel's environmental policy. If you don't care about that, ignore the following! 1. To enable heating/air-con when the room is not occupied is contradictory to having a sound environmental policy. I walked into the room and was smothered with heat. I couldn't get the heating to switch off until I called reception to do so manually in the middle of the night! 2. If you really want to lead the eco-hotel field, albeit on the luxury end, change sheets every other/two day(s) as a matter of course and make clients opt-out of this if they want them changed daily. 3. Toasters for breakfast - I wish I could have found my stats but the toasters in use, unless they're a new breed of super-efficient toaster, sit there for hours using energy when for the sake of having your guest wait an extra minute a conventional toaster would sure do. Note, if I'd been given a feedback form (which I requested) upon departure I would have passed these details onto the hotel directly. I did however get in the comment re the climate control!

... if you want to stay in a 5 star hotel at at a lot less than the price you'd pay in the West End then stay here.

Rooms are absolutely amazing, service and breakfast very good though not totally outstanding.

Totally recommend it but just be aware of the location which is absolutely fine and there are plenty of bars/restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk but it's not right in the middle of London.

Battersea doesn't spoil a visitor with an exhaustive choice of quality hotels, thankfully the Rafayel provides a superbly priced, quality, classy answer to an overnight in Battersea, with parking! We chose a thames view room which was great. It's an enjoyable stroll along the river to find a couple of good bars, and a 10min taxi to the best Argentinian steak house in London, made even better when returning to the outdoor waterfront terrace bar late in the evening. We would highly recomend!

This is such a amazing hotel i went there with my family as a suprise for my sister's birthday. The rooms are fabulous and are so spacious. Great location, great hotel, great restaurant. The spa would be even great if it was bigger. All around it is a great place.

Room Tip: The rooms on the ground floor are amazing.

We booked one of the Thames rooms which had the most amazing view of the river Thames all around us..The shower was amazing..You get 50% off your food bill which made the restaurant very good value for money £50 for 3 people eating 2 courses..There are 2 parts to the hotel which makes it feel a little strange but once you see the view it is worth it..A cab to the West End is £20 and to the Kings Road £8...It is a little out of the way but you must get a room with a view...

Room Tip: Room 123 and you can watch the helicopters landing..
