Description: Like shoe designing, whipping up a great dish is an art, says Jimmy Choo who has ventured in to the world of food with Maximini, an oriental restaurant near Hyde Park where the celebrity shoe smith is bringing a slice of his Malaysian home to Britain. As beautifully dressed as any of Jimmys A-list clients, Maximini is simplistic and chic with a hint of old fashioned colonial style which perfectly suits its fabulous Bayswater address. The irresistible Malaysian dishes are fused with more familiar Chinese flavours by master chef Albert Koh, to produce an innovative and exciting menu which, like a timeless pair of heels, looks set to become this seasons must-have.

Had the best Hong Kong style seabass since I was in Thailand. The meal was really enjoyable - well cooked and speedily presented. Wine was also excellent. The restaurant is only a short walk from Paddington station so usefully situated. This was the second time of visiting and we'll certainly be going back.

Had a very pleasant meal here. The food was well presented and very tasty - one particular member of staff didn't look too happy to be there and couldn't even manage a smile when we interacted with her - we weren't the only ones who noticed.
Did not spoil our visit thought.

Very good food at this restaurant with reasonable prices for the location. Easy walk from the Lancaster Hotel. Owned by Jimmy Choo, the walls are adorned with various shoe related artwork.

Me and my husband had short break in London, we were recommended this Chinese restaurant by our friend. It was lovely indeed, the food was super, service was attentive, we had best salt pepper prawn ever, I even ordered one more portion to go as my night feast...... I will definately come back again!
