Went to this place for the first time in May to meet friends for after work drinks. Arrived at 5pm and got a table, ordered some food and drinks and settled for the night. It got really busy by 6.30pm and the atmosphere was lively with a nice crowd. If you can get table service your on to a winner as the bar gets pretty backed up and you'll be waiting a while. We all had the burgers which were pretty good as far as pub food goes. Happy to go back some time.

I've been to the Northcote several times. The place is always busy, but that only shows how popular it is during the whole week. The staff is always welcoming and the food extremely delicious, especially Eggs Benedict which is a poetry in my mouth or tasty desserts, appetizers, etc. all that accompanied by a lovely decor makes this place unique.

Never have I been served by a more unhelpful, surly-faced barmaid as in The Northcote yesterday. Service really needs to be worked on!

I've been here several times before and it's always busy with a good atmosphere. Yesterday we went for lunch and the food was just average - the roast was pretty terrible and for £15 you would expect the potatoes to be cooked through... The meat was very dry and the veg was undercooked. Very underwhelming experience that would have been quickly forgotten had it not been for the amazingly terrible staff!

Nice atmosphere, great staff. Food a little disappointing for the price, chips almost inedible and cost £3.00 for a small portion. Would come back to drink but not to eat.
