It was just a couple of metres from my hotel and we went there twice in 4days, good food, we ate once half chicken on bbq and another time an hamburgher; double chocolate cheesecake was good too

Thank Ilaria C

We were staying in the area and were so glad we chose this pub for a place to eat.
Really good food and there was an offer on at the time we visited £10 for one course and a drink which must have saved £5 a person, great deal. I had fish and chips and my husband had steak and chips, both meals were very good. As we had had the smaller portions of main meal we had room for pudding which was great, we both had apple crumble and these were not small portions, big portions! Lovely crumble.
We ate in the downstairs dining room which was a very nice pub room, had a good atmosphere. The pub upstairs was busy but not overcrowded on a Tuesday night, the dining room downstairs became full quite quickly after around 7:30.
The wait staff were great, very friendly and gave just the right amount of attention to make sure our dining experience was just right.
We now just wish this place was closer to home, we'll definitely be back next time we're in London.

( Good service and atmosphere !! Good food considering the uk standard ! Fantastic cheesecake ! Good also for a not so early dinner !!to be verified but during our stay the kitchen was open until 9pm)

Met a collegue of mine down in London, for food and a pint I walked all the way across from Gower Street on the strength of a recommendation of one of my customers, it's fair to say I was not disappointed, fantastic selection of beers, we were sat downstairs in the dining room as the upstairs was busy, the staff were excellent and nothing was to much of a problem, the fish and chips whilst it might seem expensive at near on £14 was worth it, got to be one of the best I have tasted in a long long time. Looking for an excuse to go back so I can try it again soon
