Description: Set high above the bustle of Regent Street on the fifth floor of the famous former Dickins & Jones building, aqua london is one of the capital's most unique and exciting drinking and dining destinations with its two restaurants, cocktail bar and stunning roof terraces. Aqua kyoto is a unique Japanese restaurant showcasing chef Paul Greening's innovative cuisine. An extensive menu of beautifully-presented sushi and sashimi is complemented by creative hot dishes combining the highest quality British produce with Paul's contemporary technique. A central sushi bar and open sumibiyaki charcoal grill combine with sleek black and red decor to create a sense of theatre in keeping with aqua kyoto's location in the heart of the West End. Pass the Pamplona bull that seems to charge at you along the sultrily-lit corridor and find yourself in aqua nueva, offering Spanish dining at its finest. Here chef Alberto Hernandez presents a modern take on traditional northern Spanish cuisine, reinterpreting classic dishes in exciting new ways. Meanwhile at London's first dedicated Cava Bar guests can order from a menu of delicious tapas while enjoying a glass of cava from an extensive list. At the heart of aqua london is aqua spirit and its charcoal-ringed bar representing Zen purity. Perennially popular as a destination for beginning, ending or spending an evening, at aqua spirit master mixologists serve up some of the finest cocktails in London. Aqua spirit boasts two hidden gems - outdoor terraces with stunning views over London's rooftops, perfect places to relax and refresh.

“Great for a drink and a date but not for fine dining w business clients.”
Reviewed October 12, 2013

For a Japanese restaurant it is not a place of serene tranquillity. The waiting staff were very slow- it's just as well that my friend and I had much to talk about. Also having the restaurant leading to the balcony meant that we got wafts of cigar and cigarette smoke when the doors opened. Food was good but I've had much better for less. Cocktails were delicious and the bar looked fun and happening.

“Amazing Food, so tasty”

The food here has always been amazing. It is very tasty and it is nice to have the outside balcony area for an after drink.

“Average but expensive”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

My boyfriend was so excited to take me here on our visit to London as he had been before (about 2 years ago) and said it was amazing but we were definitely let down! The miso soup was good but our Sushi was just average. We shared the chef's sampler and while the sushi was very fresh it lacked taste and any creativity. The Kobe beef in the center was ground with a quail egg on top, sound appetizing? Not so much, it almost came up and made my loose my appetite to finish the rest of the meal. Some of our neighbors dishes looked good and other people seemed to be enjoying so maybe we choose wrong but don't come here on your vacation for your "splurge" meal because it's definitely not worth the price.

“Worth a visit if you are prepared to spend.”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

This restaurant is cool, it has three areas, the main bar which gets very lively, leading you to the restaurant and then out on to a roof terrace (which is a rare feature in central London). The fifth floor restaurant is Japanese. The food is good but the portions are small. The wine list is extensive and expensive. We were 4 who got together and didn´t over eat, we drank 2 bottles of mid priced wine (50 pounds ) and a coctail.... and the bill was over 500 pounds.
The service was good and attentive, the atmosphere was lively. It was a great night.. but then it should have been for that sort of money. I think a visit to the bar/roof terrace over a bottle of wine or so would be the best way to enjoy this venue.
Last point.... the address is 240 Regent street but the door is actually on the back street behind Regent Street... not easy to find.
