THE PLACE: I stayed here for a month, as I had to have a number of meetings all around London. It was an amazing place, comfortable, beautifully organised, great kitchen equipment, furnishings and just really well laid out. It was a great size too, The booking process was easy and checking in there was also easy, with a very attentive door person. The technology is great. Great internet (very strong signal), fantastic audio-visual equipment, TV with Sky and hundreds of channels. The bed was super-comfy and large. And, since I'm a bit noise-phobic, I have to add that it was super-quiet, in spite of being right near City Road.
LOCATION: This area is just lovely, easy to get into the city via bus, tube or even walking (Depending on where you're headed). It's near fantastic restaurants and takeaways. Very safe area to walk around, bus stop right nearby, lots of stores nearby, including 24 hour about two minutes walk away.
OVERALL: The owners were fantastic, so easy to deal with, delightful actually, as was the door staff. I hesitate to recommend, cos I think everybody who's going to London will want to stay there, and I won't be able to book next year. Seriously though, the photos are right, it's THAT nice. AND a great coffee machine!

Absolutely perfect location for the city or the west end, or just about anywhere in London, as its only a half-block off several major bus routes (some 24-hour) and a five-minute walk (or one bus stop) from Angel tube station in one direction, and a 10-minute walk (or 3 bus stops) from Old Street tube station in the other.
However, despite being so close to a major road, there was hardly any noise as the street its actually on is very small and quiet. Note that the apartment overlooks the street in front, the canal is on the other side of the building, but there is a very nice canal-side garden that you can access.
The apartment itself is just exactly how it looks in the photos. Its a perfect size for one or two people, although it can sleep up to four with the use of the sofabed, but I would only suggest that with small children and maybe for a short stay since its all one big room there is no privacy between the beds. The main bed lifts up into the wall which can clear quite a large area of open floor space.
There is a full set of modern appliances in the kitchen, although by North American standards some of them are a little small, they are pretty normal for Europe. The fridge fits under the counter, as does the combination clothes washer/dryer so plan to do laundry in several small loads. There is an iron and an ironing board in the hall closet. On arrival it was stocked with complimentary tea, coffee, white wine, beer, Coke, bottled water, a frozen pizza, and a full set of cleaning supplies along with all towels and bedding, plus extra in the closet.
The TV is a good size, with satellite service providing more channels than I could watch in two weeks, though a few premium channels and HD are not available. The stereo system is *very* nice and there is a small selection of CDs and DVDs provided. There is a PC which I did not use, and wifi internet which was reliable and fast.
There are two "cats" resident in the apartment. One is metal, wears a top hat and sits on the table by the window. His tag says his name is Mr. Whiskers. The second is soft and heavy and holds open the spring-loaded door to the hall, but I don't know what his name is.
Note that this building has an elevator, and features step-free access from the street to the apartment. That can be very hard to find in London.
All in all a very pleasant place to stay, spotlessly clean and professionally managed. My deposit was returned within a couple of days. I will be back!
