The main meals were all delicious, desert was dissapointing however, as were cold. Our waiter was terrible, couldnt of been more disinterested in providing a good service if he tried! Was really slow in taking our orders, didnt really answer our questions about the menu and looked like he generally wanted to be anywhere else but there! He was then clearly annoyed when we didnt want to pay the optional service. Shame really as this could be a great place but they clearly need to sort out their staff.

I've been visiting Avalon for a few years now for drinks and the occasional Sunday lunch. We decided to host our girlies Christmas dinner here as the food is always amazing with great service and it is reasonably priced too.
Meal was lovely, as usual. Great food and drinks were brought whenever requested, it was a packed a la carte restaurant area and the waiting staff are all very friendly too.
Unfortunately shock of our lives towards the end of the meal, when moving one of the chairs for a guest to leave..... There was a dead mouse under the chair! Not usually one to complain or pass judgement, however we were on the huge table in the centre of the main eating area - not in a secluded corner where perhaps the staff or cleaners could be forgiven for not noticing a rodent had arrived in the building and passed away there!!!! To say that we were shocked is an understatement, having lived in London for 4 years we all recognise that there are pesky rodents - and also that they never live and travel ALONE!!! So, in comes said waiter with a tissue, scoops up said deceased rodent and pops him/her in the bin!!!!
Such a shame to end what was a fantastic evening with such a sour taste. I'd recommend for drinks for sure, not so certain on what you could be dining on though!

Having lived in the area for a number of years before moving. My husband and I frequently visited the Avalon for drinks or food. The menu is always good with plenty of choices and the food great. The steaks are great, very good quality meat.

They have a super outside space for the summer towards the back of the restaurant too. Great place for friends or a family get together.

Food was great but waitress and general manager were incredibly rude and completely ruined my evening.

Went to this pub with some friends on Saturday as it's a quick walk from their house. I really enjoyed it. We got there around 5 or 6pm and it was packed already! We sat outside under the heat lamps and it wasn't cold at all. We had several pints and a delicious cocktail. We split a margarita pizza which was really nice and my friends had a scotch egg and and hot dog. We all loved the food.

The pub had a good atmosphere and later on in the evening, they were playing awesome 90's hip hop and rap. It was a great pub.
