Description: Great steak, giant martini's & guaranteed fun. Open all day, ideal for business lunch, post work cocktail, a perfect pre & post show hotspot, fabulous dinner with friends or big blow out with a party. Our steaks are cut from naturally raised, native breed British beef, much of which we age & butcher in house. Whilst beef is our thing, we have other favourites BBQ ribs, grilled fish, roast chicken, fresh salads & amazing homemade puddings. We are all about the personal touch & great for any occasion.

Sophie's is just around the corner from the old market area in Covent Garden. A friend who lives in the U.K. suggested it to us as a place where we could enjoy a good steak. He was right. This place is popular and very noisy but the service and food make the energetic atmosphere tolerable. There's an active bar scene where one can wait for your table and as a thoughtful touch after the wait, the management provides a platter of salami slices to quench your hunger as soon as you're seated. Much appreciated. Our server was great. He was a friendly and efficient Australian for whom no request was too much. The steaks were great. Watch out for the portions though: none of our party could finish their serving. Ask before you order. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were tasty. Overall, a repeater.

When our friend suggested to eat in Sophies we were not really looking forward to it. A steak house in touristy Covent Garden that doesn't take bookings and kids eat free on Sundays, did not sound like the sort of place we normally go. We were very surprised at the atmosphere on a Saturday night. It was busy and buzzing and more like a trendy eatery than a steakhouse. There is a large cocktail bar, where you can sit and have drinks while you wait for your table. We were told originally and hour and a half wait. But we had only had one drink when our table was ready. The service was informal but friendly and efficient. It is the usual steaks, burgers, ribs etc but all very well cooked and presented and the price for the quality of the food was very good. Expect a trendy and upmarket TGI Fridays!

We stumbled upon this place for the first time last night. We had to wait in the bar for about 40 minutes for a table, and saw a celebrity in the bar as well! Once we were seated, service was fast and efficient. We had a plate of salami to share (I don't eat salami, but my partner enjoyed it). I ordered the tuna steak and had a side of chips and macaroni & cheese. The tuna steak was huge and delicious! My partner had the sirloin steak and said it was really good too. The desserts looked lovely, but there was no room for dessert- next time I won't be so greedy ordering two sides with my dinner! We will definitely be back!

Visited here few times before when visiting London and have always loved it. The pre-theatre menu is a good choice, only £16 for 3 courses! Loved all 3 courses. We both enjoyed our steaks and Will be back again. Even bought the steak sauce home again. Yummy!! Great service. Wobbly table was sorted when we mentioned it. Great evening.

We had dinner with friends on a Thursday evening - service was friendly but the food and drink was overpriced and pretty average. Calamari was ok. Steak and ribs were TGI Friday quality with expensive side dishes. Mac & cheese was pasta with a cheese topping - not even cooked through and colagulated on top - not v appetising. At £50+ a head including wine it wasn't close to being good enough.
