Whilst staying at a near by hotel (The Savoy), I know what you are thinking who books the Savoy and doesn't want breakfast at the hotel. However, at a cost I believe at £30ish each for full english staying for three days, with a 10 year old fussy eater, perhaps you would think twice.

We came across this place and decided to give it a go. My son just wanted sausage and beans, no problem. Fast and friendly service, tasty cooked breakfast, value for money, lovely surroundings sat outside watching the world go by. Popular with corporate workers.

Can't go wrong.

This cafe overlooks the Thames from inside and has a large seating area in the park outside. Breakfasts are tasty, the staff friendly and you can't complain about the price - £6.80 for any cooked breakfast with tea and toast chucked in for the same price!

If there's a few of you, it's worth booking if you want inside seating.

Definitely recommend, will be back again...

The main meal deal with a bottle of beer or wine for £9.90 was the perfect end to a tiring Olympic day.
The food was well presented tasted lovely and the service was good. The balcony, whilst noisy, was a good place to spot nice cars, Olympic vehicles and cyclists

A lovely cafe where you can eat inside or outside next to the wonderfully kept gardens. A place to go for breakfast, lunch, snack. I have been a couple of times for breakfast and can recommend the bacon or sausage sandwich, but this time, due to the good deal before 11am, we for a full breakfast that included toast and preserve and hot drink, all for £6.80. The sandwiches I think were £4.80 and that is without a drink. The location is just next to Embankment so if you sit out front you can watch the workers go by, or the boats on the river. The staff are friendly and welcoming and a place I will return to again and again.

A sweet place to treat yourself to a good Full English breakfast, casual lunch, or pleasant afternoon tea. Have been here a number of times when in the mood for a relaxing bite. Great breakfast experience, bacon perfect. Sausage sandwiches are delicious, and can take away to sit in the adjacent gardens (or even just outside on the terrace of the cafe) for a relaxed experience in the midst of the hustle and bustle. Well worth a walk down the hill from The Strand, with it's multitude of chain "restaurants", to the Victoria Embankment. Pleasant, warm, friendly staff, and my friends and I always enjoy the people-watching with our meals/tea. Then a nice walk up the hill back to Soho to work off those clotted cream calories. Good food, nice atmosphere, and super relaxed! Prices very competitive too, probably a bargain given the portions and quality.
