I have a Gourmet Society card and I was looking for somewhere close to Paddington and this restaurant came up. I was in a bit of a rush so just booked a table and didn't read any reviews.
The place its self is very nice and we was greeted quite warmly and shown to our table. I was out with a friend who I hadn't seen in a while and was deep in conversation so the staff were reluctant to come over and take our order. It took for me to ask them to come over. I didn't actually mind this as there is nothing worse than being interrupted mid-conversation.
The food came out swiftly and was very tasty. There was also a lot of it as well, which I liked. My only gripe was the price. We ordered 2 starters, 2 beers and 2 mains and the bill would have come to nearly £70 if I didn't have my Gourmet Society card (which entitled me to a free main meal)
Overall I would come back here again, but probably for a special occasion and not just a mid week dinner with a friend.
