“Great Find In Covent Garden”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2014 via mobile

We ate here before going to a show on the 17th February. This cafe bar caters for all kinds of customers, and has a great Kids Menu.
Henrietta Street is right off Covent Garden, and Henry's practically faces the main market, with the street entertainers, and all of the action, this is one of the main advantages of this cafe. Considering the location, we thought that the prices were very reasonable.
Service was fast and efficient, and the food was of a high quality.

“Far too expensive, poor service ”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2014 via mobile

I understand that we visited on a Saturday lunch time so it would be busy, and it was due to no fault of their own, but we waited 30 mins for drinks, 1hr 15 for our starter and the main wasn't cooked properly. This was due to a large unexpected party, but even when we complained, the waitress tried to argue that we hadn't been waiting as long as we said we had. We spoke to the manager and he kindly reimbursed us but this isn't the first time this has happened. In my opinion if they can't cope with lunchtime rush they need to look at their staffing or table numbers as I feel this is unacceptable for a Central London bar and especially at those prices.

“Ticked all the boxes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2014 via mobile

Had late lunch (3pm) on Sunday 2nd Feb after visiting the National Gallery with 14 family members.
We needed somewhere that could accommodate a largish party ranging in age from 4 months to 77 and that had a varied menu choice, efficient service, good value for money and stylish and clean.
Henry's was absolutely perfect, we were seated and served by a very friendly and efficient waitress, orders taken and food promptly delivered all at once.
Everyone tucked in and thoroughly enjoyed the meals, which were fantastic value for money.
The atmosphere was lovely and after desserts and coffees we left in our own time, really pleased we had chosen such a central place that ticked all our boxes as even in this day and age, some places cannot cope with largish parties.
Will definitely visit again, thanks Henry's

“Big fat disappointment”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2014

We didn't realise that this was part of a chain until we saw the identical menu on a riverboat restaurant by the Embankment. Luckily we went here first for a quick bite having been tempted by the menu which looked great.
Our soggy chips were served in a trendy bucket which really should only be used for chips that have been hand made and triple cooked, not previously frozen and then kept warm. My husbands burger was chewy and rubbery, my pulled pork burger was somehow watery and dry in texture at the same time. It was in fact just a few strands of meat piled underneath a mess of red onion mayonnaise and coleslaw. The tomato slice was an insult containing nothing but skin and dry at that. We left after 2 minutes of our food being slopped in front of us. We did actually pay the bill of £33 but I think we were more shocked into it than anything.
When the waitress noticed we were leaving so soon and I told her that the food was awful she wasn't even capable of expressing surprise. I felt so sorry for her that I tipped her a pound and said it wasn't her fault.
