I booked afternoon tea here as a restorative treat between day tripping and a evening concert at the nearby Royal Albert hall. The lounge area where tea is served is very informal with large, comfortable chairs and a roaring fire. Service was fast and attentive. The tea consisted of finger sandwiches, but these seemed to have been stored in the fridge, so they were quite hard and cold which was a shame. A gin and Tonic sorbet was really wonderful, followed by warmed mini scones and a selection of cakes. We did not feel hassled or hurried, spending an hour or two chatting. We sent for more tea and sadly it was very weak. i also booked on an internet offer but was charged the full amount until I asked for the bill to be represented (but this is uncomfortable if with friends) so overall a 4/5.

If you're holder of the tastecard, don't bother...
Tried to call to book a table, everything was fine they were taking the reservation and at the end when I mentioned I had the tastecard they had to check again if there was any availability..
Of course they called back mentioning there was none, all the sudden they were fully booked.
For a supposed luxury establishment I think this is quite unacceptable.
I won't bother trying to go now!

Very well presented food and incredibly attentive staff. The combination of flavours really worked and you will be tempted to have everything! Nice wine list and affordable too.

This restaurant is part of the Kensington Hotel and as soon as you walk through the door and smell the Neom organic candle burning in the foyer you know this hotel is classy. Staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly. We booked through Toptable and had the set menu. The 2 waiters were charming, helpful and attentive. The food and wine was excellent. The only negative for me was the choice of music in the restaurant which sounded like whale music! The lounges next to the restaurant looked welcoming with big armchairs and a roaring fire. We din't have time to sit and relax after our meal as we were going to the opera. I will definitely recommend this place to friends.

First of all the hotel itself is very nice. Whilst waiting for our table we had drinks in the lounge area by a open fire. The food wine and service was excellent. I had the Lemon Sole which was exquisite. We had 50% off food via toptable which made the evening even more enjoyable. Great atmosphere. Cheeseboard was the only let down of the evening.
