Description: Feel the heat of the Moroccan desert at Cous Cous Darna -- the fire of the people, the warmth of the hues and the passion in the cooking. Fittings and ambiance are imported from Morocco, creating an authentic outpost of North Africa in the heart of South Ken. You’ll be surrounded by ochre walls, Berber pottery and pierced wooden screens while relaxing on chairs upholstered in Berber script. Bring a friend and start the meal with the Kemla salad terre-mer, including a very good aubergine zaalouk, then follow with one of the eight tagines or Darna’s signature couscous with lamb, chicken, and merguez sausages. The wine list has a unique list of Moroccan beers, wines and cocktails to explore. Don’t miss the shisha pipe. Belly dancers at the weekend.

“Authenitic, Attractive, Attentive service”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

I loved the inside which takes you away to the land of origin here....but didn't see much of it as I chose to dine on the sidewalk area. Service was fabulous, very friendly and attentive, starting with the owner. Enjoyed my Casablanca beer while waiting for a table and ordering. I chose the lamb cous cous cause I love lamb and the place's name is cous cous. They don't short change you on effort and authenticity. That said, I didn't love the flavor (the super hot paste helped) but understand how some rave about it. I'd give it more chances if I wasn't simply here for a short trip. You should try it.

“Nice place great Morocan”
Reviewed April 28, 2012 via mobile

Just dropped in unannounced with my wife; welcomed by a very courteous helpful man. Both the soup and lamb couscous were excellent and reasonable value. If I had one negative comment; the smell of incense inside was a bit overdone, otherwise well worth a look.

“A flame in the desert”
Reviewed April 2, 2012

This restaurant stands out of the mediocrity of the surrounding competitors by the neat quality of its authentic Moroccan cuisine, the warmth of the reception and the subtle bouquets of the wines conceived and matured at the very edge of the Sahara. Not to forget the bewitching mysterious hipswinging of its belly dancer...
