“Good price, good Dim Sum”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We generally tend to go to Royal China on Baker Street but happened to be in Chinatown and went to the Golden Pagoda and were very impressed. The dim sum was excellent value for money and the service was fast and efficient, you do not get the finesse of Royal China but then the meal is about three-quarters of the price so you cannot argue with it.

“Rude staff, good Dim Sum.”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

Like in many other Chinese restaurants in Soho, the staff is at times rude and rushing to clear the table. An interesting take on serving food. But, the Dim Sum is very, very good. They only serve it before 6 pm, so don't be late.

Not the place for a full night out, but if you have the craving for some excellent dumplings and don't want to waist time, this is the place.

“Very solid experience after theater”
Reviewed March 26, 2013 via mobile

We went to GP after attending a show. On a freezing cold night we lierally fell into the front door after they opened it to usher us in. There is nothing spectacular but the service is friendly, the food is good, and comes out quickly. The menu lists lots of items as "fried" but ours were stir-fried, not deep-fried...that is a good thing from our standpoint.

“Excellent restaurant offering delicious food at reasonable prices.”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

We went to this restaurant for Sunday brunch to enjoy some dim sum (chinese dumplings etc.) There was an excellent range of dim sum available, all freshly cooked to order and I am my wife ate all that we wanted for a very reasonable price.
Nice friendly and attentive service with a good ambience.
Highly recommended.
